Program wise. I've been out of it for a while, doing other stuff with work and all...but I'm a much better coder now and wondering what tools you all would like to see made. Thanks for the input.. =D

A fully working mdx or mdl importer that can import all the little effects like the position of the particle effects on models(i.e. convert them to helpers or something so we can see where they are visually).

Well I don't like importers. =P But I guess a converter would do it, right? How's the exporters looking nowadays?

.w3x protector... not a hard one

one that asks for the map, and a simple password for the map

The protector wouldn't be that hard to do, I'll research it and give it a shot on the weekend.

That's a nice avatar Tiki. 0_o 0_o

Yobgul's is too buggy and requires War3 files.

Nub is already doing that. I heard on IRC, that he is already testing it.

Sorry if this can already be done (because I can't find it), but can you get the or a Warcraft model viewer to allow you to apply custom textures for viewing the model.

eg.

Load model 'a', and apply skin 'b'.

This can be done already, just use Wacraft III Viewer or even World Edit.

Aye, I know what Nub is doing. Anything else that doesn't involve mdx or mdls? =D

I know alot of guys who use lightwave 3D, and have asked me to look around for a conversion prog. that translates MDXorMDL to Lightwave 3d7 and vise-versa.

Ive been using Lightwave for..just about 7 years, I useto use Max, but my Interest in it faded since Lightwave has a much better interface in my opinion, which generates a faster workload.
(This is not an attack on max, Its a great Prog. I just Like LW better :))

I tried Modelling in LW, then importing to max for UV-Editing and Animation, but since my skills in Max are now lacking, so are the results.

Is this completely in-conceivable?

Plz give it a thought Daishi, and thank you.

How about rewriteing the bugly mdl to mdx to make it more stable. and while yoru at combine other porgrams like wc3 viewer to it.
