Guest | ok... gonna make the example as narrow as I can. premace. Totally redone alter of hero... heroes can now be summoned only with the right buildings. paladine can be summoned with keep, archmage with arcane and dwarf with baracks/lumber/keep. no more of the "you summoned palladine first, you must wait tell keep to get another hero". if you have all the buildings at second teir you can summon all heroes. this is easy, you can easely do this in the unit editor. what my question is.... I ADD a hero say I want jiana to be the 4rth hero (jiana is a mage). you can summon jiana with the castle. for the life of me I can not figure out how to implement this... and when I found a couple of ways they where shatterd when I found out they didn't work on multiplayer. I keep facing this obstacle that there isn't a trigger that is like unit type (jaina) is a hero who is controlled by player any help would be really appreciated |

Guest | Your expample did not make much sense too me because i still have a caveman mind... but anyways i am pretty sure you just have to add the Hero to the "produced units" part in the unit editor. Other worlds if you wanted her to come out of the castle of the the castle in the editor and add her to the "Produced units" varible. Sry if this did not anwser your question...:D |

Guest | heh, I got it. what I wanted was to have a limit of 5 heroes, but if you just add a hero in the editor it meeses up some loop and it enables you to make heroes just like units. go ahead and try it... just make a map real fast and add a new hero without making any triggers. you will be able to make all the heroes just like units. anyways, I figured out the trigger... just got some of the wording on the triggers wrong. |
