for my little rpg, i want to make the summoned units have an AI, not player controlled. How would i make it so the unit is still yours, but it cant be selected and told what to do. I want it kind of like how the necromancer skeletons in diablo 2.

thx

Make a computer player, say.... brown. Call him Summoned Units.

Now, make him hostile to everyone the player is hostile to and change his allyness accordingly.

Now make something like this:
1st

Unit begins casting a spell
Spell equal to (Your summon spell here)
Set variable x (which is default 0) to 1

2nd

Variable x equal to 1
Give summoned units to brown

3rd

Variable x equal to 1
Every 1 seconds
Order all units belonging to brown to attack move to the position of the player

Of course this won't work if more than 1 player is a summoner or whatever, to do that, you will need to have Neutral PAssive be able to attack and tell him to use attack command on all enemies of X player.

it will work, its going to be a campaign, and i dont know how to make multiplayer campaigns. So how would the actual trigger be laid out, would it be like that, or would it consist of like 2 or 3.

and the "Your summoned Unit" would that be trigger Last Summoned Unit or something, or the actual unit type in a varible

i dont really know what im talking about. help me....
help me....

Could you just put the trigger on a map so i can copy it, you sound like you know what to do, where as i, dont. just tell me where to fill the stuff in. it would save me alot of time, and alot of things from being broken in a rage. :thrust:

Ok so i got the summoned thing down, but now i want to make it so i can hire mercs. The mercs wont be controlled by the player but an Ai and will follow you around like summoned units. How would i make mercs hirable in this fashion. :thrust:
