How do we make unit sell stuff?

not* changing model to a unit..

Krakou
Check the box "Is a building"
Unselect the unit then reselect it
Now you will see fields for sale units or items
After adding units uncheck the box "Is a building"

Give the unit the Sell Unit ir Sell Item skill, use the trigger Neutral Buildings - Add Unit/Item to marketplace.

NO NO NO!!!

you dont do it that way...

take a peasent unit for example...

1 - Make its movement 0, turn speed 0, everything to do with moving put it at 0

2 - Put none attacks enabled

3 - Then just go to items sold, and it works

I think that he/she wants a shop that can move, wich will make Kraku's idea right. To get another model, you just take a shop, and change the model and selection circle...Easy, don't confuse people Tiki, that thing will do nothing else, than make a peasant who can't move....

@Phobos: I'm reporting you now...

Hm, how to make a unit sell items should be in the FAQ. It is coming up pretty frequently.

The way I do it (mostly because I've never tried Krakou's way), is I add the attached file to my Warcraft III\Units\ directory, and then open the WE. It enables the "Items Sold" and "Units Sold" fields for non-building units.

@panto i found out that you dont even need that file to make units sell items, it can be done with triggers. Also your file dosent allow heros to sell items or units.

It certainly could be changed to allow heros to sell either. Simply put a 1 in the appropriate column for heros.

Also, since the file doesn't need to be added, it doesn't represent an increase in file size for your map. Thus, I think it's a better alternative than always using triggers. However, if Krakou's method of adding the information while it's a building, and then changing it to a unit, works, then that's the best.

However, CajunGoddess, if you want the floor tile to go away, you simply change the Art - Splat [sic] to "None".

Tiki, there is almost never only one way to solve a problem, and frankly, your way doesn't look particularly clean or efficient.

Sorry.
