ARRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHH

I just spent 2 hours and 40 minuttes on my map...changed alot of things...

AND MY EDITOR CRASHED....

Best part...I haven't saved since I started.... :( :ggani: emote_sweat 0_o :nono: emote_sweat 0_o :ggani:

I just want to tell everyone to REMEMBER to SAVE your map...

Also, have anyone else experienced that UMSWE 4.0, just suddenly shut down? I wasn't even at the computer at the time when it happend, not doing anything, it just crashed..

When I tried to open it again, it said that the cd was missing, and poped up with a long error message (didn't take screen..)

Well...pity me please...someone :P lol :) I need it..

Sagan	I had that problem, too. Now I have autosave activated and everything is fine.

Zachary_Shadow	WHAT?!??! Autosave?! tell me...pls :) lol I had NO idea that the editor had this function...something I've been longing for.... :) EDIT Found it in Prefs....omg...I'm blind...and stupid...and a bit more blind :P lol Thanks alot for making me see!! :)

Zachary_Shadow	Yeah...that I did know, problem was I were working on terrain...so no need to test :P lol I'll get over it...when I catch up, started doing it again... :) WITH AUTO SAVE!! hahahaha

Illithid	Never saved until I was finished working for the day, but I also look after my computer myself and have never had reliability issues with it.

Saethori	I don't like using Auto-Save, since there are times I don't want to save the map (in case something goes wrong) I suffer from frequent crashes too, but I try to save every couple of minutes. So, now, the most annoying part about my WE crashing is the ~5 minutes it takes to load on my computer.

I used to use Autosave, but it kept saving at the most inopertune times (i.e. editing unit values, placing important terrain etc). Now I test my map and save it every few minutes. Then again my comp has never had any problems except for that DAMNED blaster worm. Fixed that though

, but if I ever get my hands on its creator, I'll thank him for making such a good virus for me to edit and set loose upon the world with even more deadlier features, then throttle him to death.

Fladian	Oh I know the problem... It doesn't happen often at me that my WE crashes but when it does it is always at a horrible moment. Most of the time (at important maps) I save once every hour...

Recca	You shouldn't just save your maps! If you've worked on it long time, you should also save it on a disc or somewhere else, perhaps on an other comp. I've already seen a promising project which stopped because the scenariomaker's pc crashed and everything was away, so don't forget to save it on more than just one comp. It would be bad to see a project dying because of this.
