Okay, here's my problem. I'm trying to make powerful items that have multiple abilites. Passive abilities, like stat boosters and aura, work fine. However, I can't seem to get my custom spells to work. For example (with an already-existing spell) would be making Mindstaff cast Blizzard. However, when I try to use my custom spells, I can't target them, or even click on the item icon to do anything :bgrun: Any ideas? BTW, I've tried putting all the castable spells first, as I saw that's what items like Crown of the Deathlord does. No success. :bgrun: And yes, all my custom spells are item spells, if that happens to effect anything. HELP! EDIT: Also, is there any way to completely remove the icon for a spell? I always either get the pic of Samwise or the green box. |

I have no idea about your first problem, as i cant see the map and i'm not psychic so =/. For removing the icon for a spell, that isnt possible *UNLESS* the spell was meant to have no icon in the first place. What you can do is set the button position to the same as attack/patrol/holdposition/move. since they override whatever is placed in the same position, the icon wont be visible. |

Okay, for example, one of the items has a 400 health bonus while equipped and then you can also cast Regeneration Field, which is just the Human's Scroll of Regeneraton with a cooldown on 90. Does that help at all in figuring out my problem? How do you, or can you, normally give items actual spells that can be cast? About the second question, that doesn't seem to work either... it's the automatically placed (at least every time I've tried) in the position 1,1 :bgrun: Although, I did get it to work on accident, although I'm not entirely sure why... I opened up the three Moonwell Replenish Life & Mana icons, flipped them 180 degrees, re-imported them (one with the wrong path, whcih may be the reason), and now the icon is black. Lol so maybe I'll jsut use that icon for all the spells I don't want to have icons :D Ragingdemon, if you need the map to see the problem, PM me. I don't want to just post it becuase it's all my testing for my campaign at this point and I don't exactly want anyone to be able to see what's in it ;) |

Human's Scroll of Regeneraton with a cooldown on 90 <<< hmm. did you use an custom version or did you edit the original spell? because sometimes scroll of regen loses its data fields when you make a custom versh How do you, or can you, normally give items actual spells that can be cast? << you can, and your way should work, as long as you made the skill an item ability =/ |

Hmm... what I did was I made custom versions of all my spells (which at this points there's four of them), cahnged a few things, made them item abilities, and gave them to the items. I have Regeneration Field, Dagger Strike (Shadow Strike with only initial damage and Warden's Knife attack animation), Life Tap (Drain Life, 100 hp/sec and only lasts 1 second, cast range 800), and a buffed-up Mana Flare. Would you like the map to make sure I didn't do anything wrong? |

How are you planning on targeting these spells??? To give an item more than 1 ACTIVELY USED ability, make them UNIT abilities, make a custom version of the spell book ability, which has all the unit abilities you want it to have, then give the item to the new spell book ability. |

Actually, no. It was a stupid little mistake. For example, take Blizzard, give it to an item, and then do what I forgot to do--make it Actively Used so you can click on it and activate the spell :p Although I'm still having some small problems, related to other item things... |
