I have had this problem, of when I download maps off of a thread, I cannot open, and look at the map. They are not even loaded, so i thought they were zipped. I tried to open them with winzip, but it would not open, cause it was the wrong format. Can anyone help? |

wrong format? just save it in a file then go in TFT and play it... there really is no need in stealing other peoples ideas |

If you cant open it in WE, that means its something called 'protected'. This means that the author doesnt want other people stealing their work.</niceness> |

No, it is not a protected map, it was on a thread that said download for perfect camera and movement. When I do save it, it just doesn't show up as a file I can open. It isn't zipped, its just something wrong with my computer, and I would like help fixing it. PS: I know what protected is... |

The link you clicked on... did it have a / in the text? If it did then the defualt filename for the save will be incorrect and you will have to rename the file properly. On another note, do you have RoC or TFT? because if you have RoC then you will not be able to open maps with the extension w3x because w3x is the extension for TFT maps. |

check to see if the file extension is a ".rar" or ".ace". If it is, you need either winrar or winace to open and extract them. |

Or for maximum help quality and less confusion and random guessing, you could point us in the direction of the file itself and we could take a look at it. ;) |

Hmmm.....no i got TFT. I'll have to check for dashes... |

Nope no dashes. I am not gonna say the same thing twice, so I stated my problem in my other thread "Movement" Just scroll to the bottom and ignore whatever else was said. I had a bad day. |

You best read what he said to the people in that thread before you even consider helping him. Sorry, CCrew, but I don't think it's right that you seek help from others after treating people so wrongfully. If someone decides to help you anyway, then so be it. I just want to make sure they know what you did when people tried to help you with good intentions. :nono: |
