Yes, here it finally is. Unfortunately, I had to cut. Due to lack of time and an ever growing lack of interest since I started this chapter, I decided to have it finish differently. Yet, it's still 25 minutes of intense fun that will leave you want more.I believe it is my best piece so far. This was probably my last cinematic for a long while, it just cannot continue that way. I don't need the pressure of the COTN fans on my shoulders, I already have enough with school. It has been a pleasure to work on this, but I feel it is the time for me to have a good break and let Iron Ian continue the "cinematic revolution" I started one year ago(Yes, you are the chosen one that's worthy of the task my friend ;) ). I hereby leave you on this piece that I have done with best intentions and that I hope you will enjoy. http://cotn.wc3campaigns.com/files.shtml Oh I might come back in cinematics at a later time, I definitely don't want to abandon the world and characters I have created. But then again, I might try a different approach (ever heard of interactive cinematics? :ggani: bahh I'm evil...) One last thing, I'll be releasing a special little map to thank everyone that helped me out or encouraged me since the beginning, don't ask when it's gonna be released 'cause you know I'm not dependable anymore on release dates(I can still tell it could be one of the most interactive war3 maps you have seen so far.) |

I know that everyone thought Ian was up to par, but now after watching them all from the begining (again), I realize just how much better you are than any wc3 cinematic maker I've ever seen. Way better than I expected. :D :D :D :D :D |

i just can agree...that was just stunning...nearly everything fits perfect...i'm just sitting in front of my monitor like this: :mtk: i'm so sad you'll take a break...but i think it's the best for you and your project...i hope you'll return sometimes, to take place on your throne again...! |

Impressive, I enjoyed it alot. I dont know if i like your redone units or your use of music more, your use of music is hard to come by. I did notice a couple of things that could be cleaned up a little, only minor things though. Nothing is every as polished as possible. Very nice work. |

Damn, I really need to watch this one, but I'll have to ask my friend to download it for me and burn on a CD since I don't own broadband. But as I see I can wait something incredible, mainly coming out from you, DK. |

0_o Wow... That was great... that was really great. ***** WARNING!: SPOILERS AHEAD!!!!!! ***** Iron_Ians Review: Terrain: 10/10 I don't think much explanation is needed here. It was purely awesome. Ithrande Forest had a great mystical effect to it. (The fog and everything really accents the detailed terrain) Fenron's Lair was dark, mysterious, and very evil looking. And Ellin'Tor was just pure ownage. I loved the way you had the slow motion movement that showed how they got there over time, and the great terrain as well. Sound/Music: 10/10 Definitely 10/10. You did a great job with the ambient sounds in all areas. The footstep sounds of Artania were very cool, and the sounds when the gargoyle statue made noises was sweet. The music fit perfectly. I enjoyed the custom songs by Maglok very much :ggani: Cameras: 9.75/10 Almost perfect, only reason I took points of was because you clipped a few trees in Ithrande, and some of the scaled buildings dissappeared off of the screen on the flythrough of Ellin'Tor (I hate that damn bug in War3, it has been giving me a crapload of trouble on part 2 of TTOA). The close ups of the gargoyles in scene one were sweet. And the cameras in Fenrons lair were also very nicely done. (It created the effect that you were inside) Cinematics/Storyline/Execution: 9.5/10 The storyline was advanced alot in this cinematic. I was like 0_o when Eloas told Artania they were sisters. The hologram scene was freaking cool. And the traps Artania ran into were great. That arrow thing was sweet. How long did it take you to get the timing right on that one? The gargoyle battle was very nicely done (I like the cameras in that part too) Points were taken off only because of gramatical errors. (Mainly just for the punctuation) Skins: 10/10 The skins were awesome. How did you get that royal nightelf blue color on Valeria and Artania, that is one of the coolest colors ever. The troll was cool, he looked alot different then the regular War3 Trolls. The holographic army was sweet. The skins on the trees and stuff were very cool too. :D Innovations: Holographic Battles Traps, I've never seen them before in a cinematic Dynamic lighting Cool Skins Plenty of sounds Overall: 49.25/50 or 98.5/100 :ggani: :ggani: Congratulations to a great job done by DK and everyone else who contributed to COTN. I liked it, the terrain was amazing, and everything was well done. Overall for CotN I give 8/10, for 5 alone I give 9.5/10 Before (when you were starting) the camera's were too choppy and weren't smooth. Part 5 alone is definately worth the wait. |
