The First Warcraft III MMORPG!

This the is OFFICIAL thread for Warcraft III's first MMORPG.

So what does it include:

>Optional fully featured third person camera
>Hero save/restore code system so you can keep your heros
>8 classes and 10 races
>An ever-expanding universe with over 50 planned maps

And lots, lots, more............

First of all, I'd like to know a couple of things. Would you be willing to write down a 20 digit code each time you left a game to save your hero? Would you still play, even if you made a new hero each time? Are you interested in this?

Also, I have a certain thing to complete before the first Map Pack (8 maps in total) is released. On of the interesting elements of the system is the dynamic quests system. Certain Battle.Net accounts will be made Moderators, and they will effectively be Gods on games. They will be able to change anything imaginably possible! They must occasionally setup quests, and watch games they are in for cheating, bug exploitation, and generally make sure it runs smoothly. I already have 8 moderators (myself included), but I really need more.

If you want to be a Moderator, you must meet some specific critieria:
>You must be in good standing with the Wc3campaigns community at large.
>You must have a +100 post count.
>You must be responsible, and not willing to abuse your powers.

If you want to volunteer to be a moderator, then post below. Tell me why youy should be considered. If you are chosen, you will recieve a PM. The full list of Moderators will appear when the first map-pack is released.

Also, any other comments are welcome!

This idea will take alot to get set up, Just be glad that you can copy and paste stuff in mass. Only if i had many more posts I would sign up to be a moderator. It would be really fun to be a god.

20 didgit code doesnt sound too farfetched, the max you could get away with is probaly 30, but that might be pushing your luck. Aslo try not to have any special characters in the actual code (try to make the code look organize, not just a mass of numbers and letters). Personally I would proboly type about a 50 didgit code if I liked how the map was done.

Make sure every map has a new character location, or atleast most maps.

About the 20-digit code: split it up into groups of 2 to 5 characters each; this makes long strings of alphanumerics easier to read, copy, and remember.

The code is alpha-numeric and is split up int several sections.

If you have less than a 100 post count, but still feel you would makie a good mod, then give me some references to threads which you feel exibit your good qualities.

Sign me up 35 :) I'd love to see a great profesional MMORPG, and even be a big part of it :)

I'd never abuse my power, and I hate cheaters...and my posts are 4 times as much :P

I love a great RPG and have played Ac1, Ac2 and DaoC MMORPG's so I know how to act. I've been the leader of 2 guilds (1 in Ac2 and one in DaoC wich rose pretty high and got great recognicion, but fate have it, I stoped with the games) I was the right hand to my monarch in Ac1 for 1½ years and have had alot of responcibility.

Lemme know if u can use me, be more than happy to help :)

PS; How far is the maps coming ? Or is this a future thing ?

Maybe you should read stuff here before you continue, we will crush you.

EDIT: I should also mention a complete MMORPG is impossible with warcraft 3's engine. Just so you know, an MMORPG is 1 giant world where people can join and leave the same game at will.

To all contenders: I do not much care about contest. FyreDaug, I have no doubt that DarkCresent will be a spectacular MMORPG, but I plan mine to be playable using good old Warcraft III and no other tools. If you're making one like mine, well done, and do the best you can. There will only be a few, ever. So being the creator of one of those few is good enough for me, and should damned well be enough for you too.
Also, I am aware of what an MMORPG is. But, the best you can do with Warcraft 3 is have hero saving and several maps to play across.

On map status, I have 7.5/50 maps done. Maps will be released in 8-map packs, regardless of whether or not more maps have been done.

To anyone who would like to help with the creation side, PM me.

Damn that is one of the most lame posts I've seen in a while...

U think this is a contest? Better go somewhere else with that "we will crush you." attitude, NOT appreciated.

Rather congratulate him on trying, instead of tossing a gauntlet at his feet...!!

Geez...what are you 10 ?!

I'm wondering how your going to pull off this "..over 20 maps..." bit when the Blizzard switch-map triggers don't work.

Edit: I'm sorry, the real quote was "...over 50 planned maps..."

I would like to be a moderator, and even more, help with the project any way I can...

Shit you are totally right, that came out absolutely wrong, I didn't mean it like that "we will crush you", honestly I donno what I really meant, but it would be impossible to create something that detailed, we are trying to get as close to an MMORPG as we can, without actually doing it, because as we know, it is impossible. What you are doing is an RPG, and I support people making RPG's I think there needs to be more.

I am really sorry that came out wrong.. :////
