I GOT THIS REALLY NEAT IDEA FOR A SPELL, IT'S CALLED THE MAXTIX (BASED OFF ENVASION) The hero will leave trails of him/her self. So when it moves/attacks it will leave trails. HOW CAN I DO THAT? I TRIED CHANGEING UNIT ANIMATION SPEED, BUT IT DOESN'T WORK! HELP HELP |

What about using triggers? When a unit starts casting a dummy spell then give the unit/hero evasion ...% and a high movement speed and don't forget the air around him that a Banshee uses I hope this post made any sense :bgrun: Anyway, try to use caps less... |

well, cant you just change the follow distance to .01 in the gamplay constants or w/e? Then just make some transparent with like a 1-10 speed slower then the main unit so its like: You have the main unit (lets use BladeMaster) then you have some (ex. 2) BMs that are part transparent (maybe 2 diff bms so like 10%, 20% transparent ) then just order them to follow the real BladeMaster. [20% T], [10% T], [Real BM] and if the speed is just enough difference, it will look like hes dodging or something. |

why not try having a region snapped to your unit, than constanly make a transparent version of that unit, than disappear real quick. just make a trigger with a wait time of like .10 than create the masked unit, than remove it real fast. It may work... |

I did a perversion of bullet time with spells (based on carrion swarm) that looked like bullets flying past. I based a spell on the amulet of spell shield and did my best to make it look less of a deflect and more of a doge. |

If u use the Blade Master, you can use the Mirror Image missle effect, its a shakey green Blade Master!!! attach it Via triggers, then remove after like 1 second!!! |

can i have a hand with dummy spells? I can quite get the hang of the events and responses... is it "unit begins casting spell"? I tried doing i kinda, "Abe's Odyssey" Game using invisibility base for "follow me" (dummy spell) After continues disapointment I've kinda given up..... I wish i could get that man in a suit for my Matrix game, but I not even an Administator and can't dl!!! :bangH: BTW there seem to be some things in abilities that seem to be invariable ex: -art (if the modle dosn't apear in the least, then it will always be there and you can't change it: c lightning, blizzard, roar, potion of speed, rain of fire, starfall...etc) -summoning "Dookickey" names (base a summoning on water elemental, change the name, summon and the "Doohicky" Name remanes. The Same thing happens 4 Metamorph and Avatar) Is it possible to change these things, or do i need to dl somthing i can't dl? :bangH: |

Man in a suit? Is this a model of some sort? You should probably use: Event: Unit begins casting a spell Condition: Spell being cast = <dummy> Action: Set TargetVariable = Target (casted spell) Event: Unit starts the effect of a spell Condition: Spell being cast = <dummy> Action: (do whatever to TargetVariable). There's plenty of dummy spells you can use; just drop the duration and effects of spells like invisibility down to zilch. That way, the spell will still take mana (as it had been cast), but won't do anything, so that the trigger will step in once the spell goes off. If you just use "begins casting a spell," a player could order their character to do something else, thus getting away with a freebie spell. |

ahhhhh! That will be very usful if i get past the first step however i may be doing somthing wrong in the (issued order = ... ) area. The order string thing i copy+pasted from the ability editor though... The man in a suit is a skin made by some whos name i forget and is brobabbly going to appear out of the ether as soon as he knows I am talking about him... Yes I am talking to you ... whatever ur name is... |
