(by Frozen Stealth) Yes it's true a program for saving heroes has been made recently. This program can not only save and load heroes but can also save and load anything!! This will make many types of games possible that need to be saved and then loaded. A good example is Footman wars who of you would like to see that where you can save and load your hero, footman upgrades, and even wins/losses. For further updates go to http://www.prepatch.com/gmg/forum/ . That is the official forum for the program. If you have any further questions go to the forum. You can download the program at http://www.prepatch.com/gmg/downloads/HeroSave.rar . The program was made by: TiggermCat and Frozen-Stealth. Here's a shot: ![]() |

I can't get the above mentioned program to work at all on my computer. I am trying to use this program or a save code to save heroes on a custom rpg game over battle.net. I need help making this program run on my computer or withsave code triggers. Anyone have any ideas? |

I see two problems with this program. The first being blizzard will consider it a hack and ban you, the second being that people will use it to have level 10 hero rushes in ladder games. Maybe you have made it only work in custom games, but I don't know... Anyway, although it's the coolest thing I've ever seen, for the safety of my CD key I will not use it. |

I agree, it is an exceptional piece of software but I don't recommend using it on a controled server such as battlenet... you'll only cause problems... unless of course you somehow get blizzard to approve the use of it. |

Yup, I agree with everything IamJames said. This can easily be used as a hack and be used for cheating in ladder games. Also, does this work for Saving/loading maps for everyone, or just for one user? If it works for everyone, then Battle.net is officially going to hell. Either way, I'm staying away from this for the time being. HOWEVER, I did read on those forums a few days that it only works on maps that it's programmed to work on... is this true? Because if so, ladder games might be safe. However, Blizzard will still consider it a hack (or third party program) and ban your key. |

I think it only loads/saves information, thus having the map creators to do whatever they want with the information(the program cannot create units itself for example)... |

cideh is right. You can't just go to any map and expect it to load values. This tool is for map makers to let people restore stuff on BNET. |

Still a hack....................... Maybe if enough people petitioned Blizzard they'd let us use this thing. |

Yes, it's still a 3rd party program, which Blizzard will ban you for. Hell, I've had friends who've got their CD-keys banned for using ANTI-hack programs! You can try all you want, but I doubt very, VERY much that Blizzard will approve of a program like this. However, it's a great discovery nonetheless. :gsmile: |

Why don't we start a petition? I mean, i also doubt that blizzard will allow it...but if enough people complain about it, they WILL do something. Perhaps they will create their OWN saving program, which in my opinion would be much better. Is anyone willing to spend the time to make a website for such a petition? (i'm not volunteering, but i'm hoping someone else will :D) |

Sorry, SL, but I'm thinking that this petition, like so many e-petitions, has a snowball's chance of doing anything. Blizzard will always trot out the "Use of third party software is a violation of the terms of service" clause in the b.net sign up terms. |
