Sorry, I have been trying to figure out how to move the screen to a unit for a player. I though I remembered someone saying you have to use camras, and I have tried that but I'm probably not doing it right. Example, Unit teleports or moves instantly, then move screen to unit. |

Camera- Pan camera to location of xunit over 0.00 seconds |

obviously your new to world editor...a tip: take a look at some other maps before you start your own (triggering that is) ....its self explanitory pretty much...but this will prevent questions such as this, dont worry, you'll get the hang of it soon |

Sorry, your wrong, I'm not new. Oh, and another thing, half the maps that even use that are map protected. Another thing, I have used every thing but camras before. I used the wrong trigger just one away from where it was located at. Also try not to be so inconsiderate to other people. But thank you a lot for not adding any useful information, and for wasting my and your time. |

Pot to Kettle: You're black. Yeesh. You're right, of course, most maps being released are copy protected... but the Blizzard made maps that came with the game are NOT. Those you can open up just fine, and they have a great deal of good stuff in them just ready to be pawed over. Including workable camera triggers, most quite good. Feel free to ignore well meaning advice that doesn't suit you -- it's a good policy, quite frankly -- but don't be a jerk about it. |

What bout the other half? For god's sake you only need ONE map to learn from... and anyway, I think it would have been much better to go through the camera triggers that made sense than post this question (considering the simplicity of how to do it). It takes one hour to experiment and find the right triggers. Moreover, you learn much more. Posting on the forums however, may be longer or shorter than that, and the answers are not always reliable. Anyway, I guess the question was answered by hunter. Also, accessing blizzard maps are things some people... don't bother doing (like me). |

I'm sorry, thats basically what I was trying to say to him, when he writes, he doesn't have to be a jerk about how he writes. It's rude, and yes I know I did talk the same way back, and I shouldn't of gone down to his/her level. Thank you for relaying the information about the blizzard maps, I did forget about those. And although I do download maps and try to look into to them for ideas, I'm not going to try to search for an hour, and fill up my hard drive with maps. I did try to use a few camra triggers but they didn't work. But I found out that I made a simple mistake, and that is why none of them worked. Another problem when it comes to maps is that I would have to play the game first to see if it does what I want it to do. Then after finding the map, I would have to search through the code, which that part probably wouldn't take to long, but anyways. The other real problem is, I live on a college campus that has a firewall. I can't create games on b.net. I guess single player games are not that bad to try out as well, along with blizzard maps. Thank you people for your adice, care, and concern. |
