This is a special edition of the BETA 4 version of WoC which deals with bugs and balance issues. Making the game much more playable on b/net. Enjoy. :) DOWNLOAD War of Chaos BETA 4.5 The Titans -The Blood Master's Blood Bath has a new animation -The Blood Master's Ancestral Guardians has been temporarily replaced with critical strike until we figure out all the problems. -Medivh's Catharsis's animation now disappears. -Medivh's Angel Fire fixed. -Orios's Etherealize modified. -Horak's Deceleration cooldown decreased. -Antonidas's Ice Shatter icicle attachments now disappear. -Gaia's Boulder Storm nerfed. Boulders can now be targeted by ground units, do slightly less damage and the number of boulders are down to 4/8 from 6/12. It was fun while it lasted. -Gaia's Earth's Fury now has proper animation. -Praeterex's Destruction has new caster animation. The Burning Legion -Mortuus's Black Death fixed. -Mortuus's Viral Mines are now invisible and proper interface icon given. -Mortuus's Contamination form is now slightly faster and lasts slightly longer. -Mortuus's Disease Ward nerfed and now affects units with full HP. Proper Cooldown restored. -Carnifex's Outer Torment and Sadism interface icons changed/fixed. -Carnifex's Sadism now works perfectly. -Carnifex's Outer Torment doesn't do an INSANE amount of damage now. -Du'jal's Blaspheme has new FX. -Du'jal's Mana Leeches have been nerfed slightly. -Du'jal's Prophecy of Doom's cooldown slightly increased. -Kil'jaeden has a new projectile animation -Kil'jaeden's Bloodpact Restored. -Kil'jaeden's Confusion now has proper research ikon. -Caligo's Darkness restored and Intoxicate removed. -Tichondrius's Blood Bite fixed. -Tichondrius's Soul Rip has a new cool animation -Tichondrius's Shadow Stalk now has proper research ikon. -The Wings on the Nether Demons have been restored. -Sargeras's Sky Oblivion mana cost reduced to 90 and damage reduced to 75/150/225. Tooltip at level 3 fixed. -Sargeras's Forbidden Portal cost increased to 100 and Dark Golem HP reduced by 100 -Archmonde's Suffering now has one animation, instead of shifting between 2 animations. -Ner'zhul's Possession now has a cooldown of 200 instead of 9 -Ner'zhul's Possession doesn't take away any mana from the target. The Target is also invulnerable for 3 seconds after being possessed. -Ner'zhul's Corrupting Touch works perfectly now. -Carnifex's Brute Force's tooltip fixed. -Chandra's Seduce now doesn't work on ultimates such as Gaia's Neltharion and Antonidas's Sasquatch. -Chandra's Seduce now has proper position and now has 2 levels only. -Chandra has a new one level Astral Projection ability. (super cool) -Chandra's ultimate has new interface icon. -Sanguis has a new "Vampire Form" ability, Succubus spell has been modified and given to her Vampire Form as a normal skill. -Mannoroth's damage nerfed slightly. -Mannoroth's Deathstrike has new animation. -Mannoroth's Stampede cost and cooldown decreased. -The Fire Well has been renamed so that people will know what it does. General -The soundtrack has been fixed and now plays properly -Weather System that changes weather conditions randomly has been enabled for testing reasons. -Spawned units generally give more money. -The HP and Damage on the Control Towers in villages has been nerfed. -The Shamans of the Orc Outposts won't return to their spawn point from now on -New PREVIEW SCREEN!!! -All counters in the game now say Time Remaining instead of "Metamorphosis" or "Water Elemental" -The Hero Death messages now display the proper names and titles of the heroes. -The "heroes-not-reviving" issue has been addressed. -The "Teleport" ability that Furion, Caligo and Du'jal possess now has a mana cost of 60 instead of 75. -The bases have been remodelled to be more efficient at defending from enemies. -All Heroes have hero glows now. -Upgrades now work. -The defensive Towers of each team now have a range of 750 instead of 700 (m000hahahahahaha) Shops & Items -The Hint about the Tomb of Relics has been modified -Seeds of Entangle fixed. -Staff of Teleportation cost dropped to 225. -The Orc shops at the BL base have been relocated. -Mannoroth's Relic fixed and restored. Lag is usually cause because of crappy computers (like our second one at home) or the modem users... If dooads is kept UNDER 7000, it shouldn't be a problem (BUT it's a hell of an anoyance to edit in WE, as it causes lag problems THERE) I currently have arround 4200 in mine, and I reduced it from 5800, will become a little less, but the map is still packed :) I can't wait till I get the chance to try your map again Daemos, and I promisse, I will give you feedback, as always :) Keep up the good work buddy :) |

Thanks buddy. I realize the thing about crappy computers, I'm trying to make the map playable on all computers. Thankfully my tiling skills make up for the lack of "extra" doodads" but I have added some more reaching 3100 right now. Also, WoC has a weather system which changes weather conditions constantly so that might influence gameplay speed and lag but so far, it didn't lag at all for me with the weather system. :) |

One thing so far, after first game :) MAJOR bug, one of my teammates took over the orc outpost, and this happend. (first few waves worked fine) AND I DIED WHILE LOOKING THERE :P lol |

Ohh, the killing part was because my teammate pinged the map and I moved my view to there to take a look, died cos of that at the other side of the map :P The raiders were ours, but they weren't moving (keeping their territory I guess :P ) hehe Check the spawn / order move trigger for that spawn, it's not working proberly. Else than that, I didn't see anything...maybe..I'll mention it: The VERY nice skin of EvilIllidan (WICH, you can send to me IF you want!!!) has a rather suckky Ultimate. The aoe is so small, that you can MAX fit in 2 or 3 units, and you need to be fast or they will move / die, before you get to use it. In the end, I never used my ultimate. The character is awesome, but the ulti is his biggest flaw. Just a bit more aoe on that one, and he is perfect :) Send me the skin/model? :) If u don't want to, I can understand, It's just SO cool :) |
