emote_confused Here's something I've always wanted to know how to do. I've theorized a few ways, but I didn't want to waste the time it would take to test them just for them not to work. I've seen maps where in-game, usually during the intro, a picture and/or logo will show up on the screen (like Miyog's panda picture at the beginning of his MRP maps). Could somebody please teach me how it's done? Hopefully, more than just myself will learn how to do it. :D Thx! |

But to have your own, you import using the import manager and then in fade filter select the img you imported. |

yeahs thats partly right buts thats not all... for a custom u gotta do... import it... put it in trigger use fade filters... create it to custom text... change the filepath to where it is.... and that should work... |

Hey, thx a lot, Vilex and Bolt! :D I'm so close to finishing now. I can...taste it...excuse the cliche phrase, but I couldn't think of anything else to say...? Where was I?...problem...post...saviors...oh yeah! Yay! I'm gonna find some kind of pic to add that looks cool. :ggani: EDIT: Ah ha! Maybe I could put..."The Hat"! MWAHAHA!!! :D |

:( I keep trying to use WC3 Image Extractor II to make my picture into .blp format, but it keeps giving me this weird error: "Run-time error "9"; Subscript out of range". I don't know what to do...and I can't use a pic in the editor unless I change it to .blp format. Help! Please. :( |

Maybe save it as a blp? Btw, I like your avatar. Homsar's hat. |

:( But, that's what it is I'm trying to do. When I try and open the targa file and save it as a .blp, it gives me that error message and closes the image extractor. I don't know what to do! :bgrun: And, thx. :D Homsar's the best. :gsmile: |

Do you have another program that would be able to save as a blp? |
| 10-19-2003, 06:25 AM | #10 |
:( No, but that's not even the problem any more. I just picked another picture and it worked out with that one, but now I have yet another problem. When I use it as a Fade Filter, all it shows is white. First it was all black, so I put all of the color percentages to 100%, but now it shows it all white. I can't see the picture. Why me? :( |
| 10-19-2003, 06:28 AM | #11 |
did you actually select your picture in the trigger? |
| 10-19-2003, 06:31 AM | #12 |
Yes, I picked it from the drop-down box. So, it says to fade in/out "war3mapimported/mypicture.blp" over x seconds bla bla bla. But, all it shows is white. >_< |

ok first question... did u get ur pic to a .BLP??? second i told u, u gotta make the trigger and put fade filter then put a dummy pic then create it to custom text then change the file of the dummy one u put there into the one u want... USE THE EXACT FILEPATH OR IT WONT WORK!!! |
| 10-19-2003, 07:16 AM | #14 |
Yes, I did have it in .blp format, but I didn't put it in custom text like you said. I didn't know you had to since now they have the little drop down box that gives you the path (at least as far as "war3mapimported/picture.blp" goes). I'll try that and get back to you. Thx. :D |

:( Um...I tried what you said...and UMSWE crashed while saving my map...why me?:( |
