Alright, because this is going to be a multiplayer one. I could not figure out how to load the selected hero in the initial map by each player to be saved in cache and loaded up that specific selected hero in each map... So for my 8 seperate heroes I simply made them all a seperate player... so my players Paladin Sorcerer Ninja Necromancer etc etc... are suppose to be 8 players selected before the map starts... This way also between each map you can change your hero if you want... But the map loading is totally screwed up... The screen where you select all the options and what player you are, color and race... None of it is how I said it... In the player properties of my map. I gave each player a name. So you know which hero you'll be controlling, a set race... Like Paladin and sorcerer are both human, while dark knight and necro are undead... And I said them all to user control only... Saved it, now when I go to the pre-loading screen... None of the player names are there... it all just says "Open, closed, computer" and I can only select the first player slought. I cannot select any of the other 7 players(heroes) even though I set them up as user control only... The names aren't displayed... I cannot select anything except player 1... Computer control is an option for them but I said user only... And the races can be changed although I set them speficly... It's like none of what I did in my map is saved... The actual map works fine... It's just my pre-loading screen that isn't working properly... How to I set the race so you cannot change it... How do I set the name of each player so it displays on that screen... How do I make it so anyone can select any of the 8 players(heroes) Please help |

Guest | You have to click on force names to change your position in the current force or move to a new force on the battle.net game screen. Force names, which I'm assuming is how you are trying to set up your hero names in that screen, don't display there as of yet, so no dice on that one. Make sure to check fixed start locations and the other static checkboxes in the forces/players/etc. dialogs in worldedit. |
