RPG Campaign: Oberia (working title)

I've been working the past month or so on setting up the general triggers for a campaign that draws heavily on Oldcore RPGs like ChronoCross, Lunar (TSS & EB, if you know Lunar), Final Fantasies 3 through... 7?, Grandia, Dark Cloud, Azure Dreams and the like.

While I'm pretty good with triggers, and alright with terraining, I could use some collaborators on the Story and Map-making. So far I only have some loose ideas about a return to the Warcraft universe thousands of years after the events of The Frozen Throne.

I'd like it to be big - epic even - but I was planning on leaving the game graphics and sound wholly un-tampered with, freeing up time to build maps. Some skinning and modeling would be fine, I just think gameplay and story are more important than aesthetics.

So far, I have these features set up:
  • 3rd-person chase cam / combat mode three-quarter-view cam
  • Timebar-based combat system
  • Upgrading Equipment system based on leveling Hero Abilities
  • Talk system which overrides the Patrol command, letting the user click to talk instead of walking into a region near an exclamation point
  • GameCaching system to switch between maps and remember Heros, Quest Completions and Item Pickups
  • Magic system using Items - similar to ChronoCross's Grid System
  • A small flying companion with an inventory!

So, anybody interested in lending a hand, or just getting a back-and-forth going on a storyline?
