Hmmm... don't know If I can help you with animation (unless its in gmax, then I can take a stab at it) but if you want to make a modern war mod, I could offer my services as a modeler and terrener/map maker to your cause.

Ok, Several Questions... Hmm... LOL

1.) How Much Does 3DS Max Cost
2.) How Much Does G Max Cost
3.) Do You Have To Subscribe To The Programs Several Times
4.) What Are The Benefits/Minuses Of Both Programs

Im A Little Confused, I Want To Find The Programs I Need, Along With Paint Shop Pro, But Thats 90 Bucks. Christmas Is Coming Up Soon, But My Relatives... Don't Care To Put It Simply.

i think that 3dsmax costs around 2000-4000 bucks but im not sure. I hav Gmax, and it was free. Although u cant export anything:( u dont really hav to suscribe to gmax, and u can get it at discreet.com

gmax is really a shooken down version of 3dsmax, but it can be used (althougyh i dont model)

Imagine how much you'd have to twinkle with the bones to animate them caterpillar wheels...

You wont have to anything with bones for the treds- just animate the texture. (I'll admit I only have a basic understanding of how to do that, but I know its possiable, and has been done)
