Need ideas! - Naval Battle map: Weapons

Ok, Im fixing up a sea battle map(hunter0000's to be exact) so that it will be very very spiffy.

The map is pretty much a non-hero AoS with ships and you buy weapons that attach to your ship and you can move and fire your weapons at the same time! You can also buy components that build other units and launch them off for u! (yay) and u can upgrade your weapons and im plannin on implementing unit upgrades too, if i can get more launched unit ideas

The only really unique thing about the map is that fact... im trying to change that, added a peasant that can repair/BUILD towers, planning on having the ability to choose a captain and depending on your choice you get a certain aura for your weapons.

But Im kinda stuck with weapon ideas... mainly for the undead team. lol

So heres the jist: I need ideas for Undead weapons and ideas for units that can be launched.

Heres what I have right now:

Undead:

~NeW~ Flame Launcher - The flame launcher is the pinnacle of ship-to-ship destruction, after the initial hit the ammunition also sets fire to the target.|c00ff0000|nRANGE: 1100|nDMG: 70-75|nSPEED: Average|nDAMAGE UPGRADE: 4|r

~NeW~ Negative Energy Cannon - Fires a ball of negative energy from long ranges and detonates upon positive matter. Can only hit ground targets.|c00ff0000|nRANGE: 2500|nDMG: 40-120|nSPEED: Slow|nDAMAGE UPGRADE: 6|r

~NeW~ Rebound Blaster - Using specially angle-built ammunition, the rebound missle is made to bounce off of its first target and hit additional ones.|c00ff0000|nRANGE: 900|nDAMAGE: 25-55|nSPEED: Fast|nDAMAGE UPGRADE: 4|r

~NeW~ Subterfuge Lab - Creates |c00ff0000|Concusion Rafts,|r loaded with explosives, that detonate dealing damage to anything nearby.

~NeW~ Reinforcements Beacon - This is their super weapon, basically i have it set so that when they buy this unit the map gives your SHIP the ability to cast Armageddon, which is a dummy spell that triggers a caster to spawn at your position and cast a modified stampede that uses a big area.

~NeW~ Meteor Summoner - Using the demonic magics of the Twisting Nether, the meteor summoner manipulates weather itself to land upon enemy ships, dealing massive splash damage.|c00ff0000|nRANGE: 1000|nDMG: 130-200|nSPEED: Very Slow|nDAMAGE UPGRADE: 8|r

Humans:

~NeW~ Rifles - These rifles come with bullets tipped with explosive catalysts, as well as keeping the enemy captains on their feet, they have the a high damage potential in large groups.|c00ff0000|nRANGE: 800|nDMG: 5-25|nSPEED: Fast|nDAMAGE UPGRADE: 2|r

~NeW~ Water Gun - The water gun sucks water up from below the ship and launches it at enemy ships at a very high velocity, doing as much damage as a tangable weapon, but cheaper!|c00ff0000|nRANGE: 600|nDMG: 45-60|nSPEED: Fast|nDAMAGE UPGRADE: 4|r

~NeW~ Mortar - Massive cannon designed for coastal bombardment. can only hit ground targets.|c00ff0000|nRANGE: 2000|nDMG: 110-190|nSPEED: Very Slow|nDAMAGE UPGRADE: 8|r

~NeW~ Gyrocopter Bay - Launching bay for Gyrocopters.|c00ff0000 Maintains and reconstructs one Gyrocopter.|r|n|nNOTE: Gyrocopters are superior to Flying Machines.

~NeW~ Rocket Launcher - The tier four weapon, the rocket launcher, is devastating when it connects with its target. Can be upgraded to use Homing Rockets.|c00ff0000|nRANGE: 1000|nDMG: 100-145|nSPEED: Slow|nDAMAGE UPGRADE: 6|r

~NeW~Homing Rocket Launcher Upgrade - via the Chaos ability used by the Siege Engines ^_^

~NeW~ Laser - This is the human super-weapon, it gives the ship, upon purchase, a modified shockwave ability that spawns invis casters which cast on the same spot moments later. So it looks like a large stream of one beam.

Neutral:

Light Cannon - Light Cannon designed for ease of use and hit and run tactics. Hits ground only.|c00ff0000|nRANGE: 700|nDMG: 34-56|nSPEED: Medium|nDAMAGE UPGRADE: 4|r

Large Cannon - Massive cannon designed for ship-to-ship combat. can only hit ground targets.|c00ff0000|nRANGE: 1000|nDMG: 88-112|nSPEED: Slow|nDAMAGE UPGRADE: 6|r

Rapid Fire Cannon - Long-ranged harrassment component, not very effective alone, but in groups it can decimate entire armadas.|c00ff0000|nRANGE: 1200|nDMG: 15-20|nSPEED: Very fast|nDAMAGE UPGRADE: 3|r

~NeW~ Cannon Boat Center - This is the launching unit for Neutral, it creates a smaller boat that is just a wee bit more powerful than the frigates used by the computers. Also upgradeable soon.

~NeW~Mega Cannon - Gigantic cannon designed for ship bombardment with a humongous splash. Can only hit ground targets.|c00ff0000|nRANGE: 1200|nDMG: 274-315|nSPEED: VERY SLOOOOOOWWWW|nDAMAGE UPGRADE: 10|r
^---- Actually shoots a larger cannonball than the other units! its kool!

NOTE: The weapons marked with a red ~NeW~ text means that they have just been implemented and havent been tested/tested thoroughly

anyways, How bout an undead thing that rises dead ships as ghost ships? just make em hover a little and make em a little darker

LOL! you didnt even change the mortars dmg or tooltop!

take a look at my idea

you didnt even change some of the tooptips (save the |n witch I just learned, so sad) :P

Im glad u decided to edit, I was allmost certain you would because I could tell you were drooling over it, espessialy the upgradability with little effort really. Thats much the reason why I created it as well, I made the trigger fairly simple and made it EZ as hell to add new stuff. Good Luck makin it spiffy man!:D

Well the prob with your ability is that it, like most of the original undead weaps, is an indirect damage weapon... and i found it a little irritating. no offense its a good idea that never crossed my mind i might put it into there as a like... uhh second super-weapon

I didnt change the tooltips other than spelling and the return line because, well, they were just fine the way they were ^_^

and i really like the editability that you gave the map i appreciate that even tho u prolly didnt do it on purpose lol :ggani:

hmmm, how bout this?

Infernal Caller : Useing the demonic magics of the Twisting Nether, a warlock onboard your ship shapes an infernal meteor and casts it down apon enemy ships, doing massive splash damage.|nRANGE 1400|nDMG 130-200|nSPEED Very Slow

How much should it be?

And remember if it goes in there has to be a new human weapon created, preferably a counter-part.

I was thinking about an upgrade that would turn all bows into sniper rifles, using the chaos skill.

And OBVIOUSLY sniper rifles are way more spiffy than bows

@ThePersonThing: I tried fast firing weapons (flame thrower) and it didnt fire anywhere nearly what its 0 cooldown should have been. I figured that it conflicted with a trigger that moves all the weapon units to your ship every .1 seconds instantly, though Im not completely sure... its a good idea though as the bullet missle (rifleman, marine, flying machine) looks really cool when shot multiple times, and the rapid fire cannons have a .25 cooldown I believe

@Hunter0000: hey that sounds like a pretty good idea! Could you give me a vague cooldown time? As well as ideas/ways to make it not sound like a short range Neg. Energy Cannon

Im really trying hard to not shoot down all the ideas... lol i really appreciate the attempts its just that they conflict with how I want the map to end up or just dont work with the mechanic

but I dont know how to use it for my map? are you suggesting something that spawns... tentacles? cuz the map is like a hold the line type map... where the battle is always moving. So stationary units (like tentacles) wouldnt be very useful in the end... although a spawn octopus (eaith moving tentacles that when summoned for a circle or sumthin usin triggers i guess) would be kinda nifty. But that is low priority since i really want to work on the neutral super-weapon and the human counter to the infernal meteor

hmm maybe since the humans dont have many indiredt weapons

Gnome Engineering Team: These industrious little cousins of the dwarves can keep your ship it tip-top shape even of the battlefield.(uses a slow healing aura to repair your ship + its componits

sounds pretty nifty... ill think about it...

ive been considering adding upgrades that give ur ship auras or choosing a capitahn (pronc'd: cappy-tawn:ggani:) that gives a unique aura, AND have a trigger that will add a sfx of a paladin or other model to the ship :D
