Here's a problem I've never seen before. I'm .mdl editing the Pheonix into a 'Void Raven' and I'm not doing anything I haven't done before, so I know what I'm doing. But something wierd has happened and I can't figure out what it is. Basically, the unit looks completely different in WE than in WC3Veiwer. I've attached a Screenshot of the 2. I don't understand what's going on, as both programs are looking at the same file. I know the Viewer doesn't show ribbon and particle emitters, that's a difference between the 2 that was expected (actually that's why I was looking in WE as well as viewer) The problem is the Green Glow in the Viewer, which is what I want, isn't there in WE and there's a dim red glow there instead. Plz give me any thoughts you may have because I'm stumped. |

no... The top one (in WE) has the green particle emitter on it's back, and the green ribbon emitters on it's wings. It also has a faint red glow all over. The bottom one (in WC3Viewer) doesn't show the particle emitters and ribbons (because the viewer doesn't show those at all, ever) but it has the green glow all over. So anything that's green in WE isn't being shown in the Viewer, and the glow that's seen in the veiwer isn't being shown in WE. |

Mighty, the Phoenix has always been red, no matter who summons it. And I'm sorry, but MDL ain't my thing. I just hang around here even tho I've never done a 3d model FOR Wc3 in my life.... I hate all the limits! Gotta use that kind of animations, gotta have less than whatever polys, can't have particle emitters....It all just sucks! |

my only guess is that you have a local file in one of your directorys that is overriding the green glow in the .mpq, War3viwer wouldnt look in these files but the WE does. |
