Hey, I am completely new to the dowloading and using of skins/models into maps. Do i need a certain program(s) to be able to use custom skins/models i download in my maps? |

The only tool you need is WinMPQ... There's a lot of programs to create models / skins... PhotoShop, Corel Photopaint, 3DSmax, Maya, Rhinoceros and more... Just decide what you need and buy. Of course, skill it the main requirement! |

Thank you. I already have photoshop so that works and Ill go dl the other program now. Thanks for d help. |

When i try to open certain things after i DL them from this site i get messages like "To open this file windows needs to know what program created it" then it tells me it can go online to do this so i click ok and it brings be to a page titled microsoft applications thats says "Windows has the following information about this file type. This page will help you find software needed to open your file. " and then has a short list of a few programs. How might i fix this if it is even a problem? |

I guess you need some program like WinZip or WinRAR. Another reason might be that the correct file extension is missing. Can you please give me the full filename (make sure file extensions are displayed: you can set that in folder properties in the Control Panel). |
