Hi. How do I make auto casting activated by default. I know the Priest from the Human campaign has Heal activated whenever you create that unit, is there a way I can do this for my own custom units? I have a custom summon unit that I want to do this for. But if I give it the same Heal ability as the Priest, it isn't actived by default when I summon that unit. |

The field right above the abilitys in the units editor is default active ability. That is the field you set to the default active ability. |

Why would you want to do this? Are you really that lazy just to right click your mouse? lol j/k |

Earlier casting of an ability can make a difference in a battle. If you're in a huge battle and there's lots of flying and ground units cramped together it's hard to select a unit you just summoned. Not having to select that unit and activate its ability saves you time, time that could be spent making an even bigger difference in the outcome of a battle... |

Thus the crypt fiends' Web ability is much, much MUCH better than the Raiders' Ensnare ability. I'll never figure out why they didn't make that autocast... Ah well. Err... this is pretty useless isn't it. Well crap... Uh, dur, I just saw Kill Bill. Goodnight everybody. |

I think the only difference is that the Ensnare ability has better range, and maybe lasts a little longer... |

yes ensnare is much better ....if it was autocast. but its not. which i truly do hate. soooo much. |

You hate auto cast? |

well actually ensnare can target land units as well as flying, once I played someone who ran their army away, I ensnared their demon hunter and they didn't notice, I had so many raiders I was able to keep him in a stasis like state and eventually killed him. Making it a fairly useful ability, and on a side note, if it was autocast it would be EXACTLY like web and I hate when two races have pretty much the exact same type of abilities. |

hehe I've lost count of the number of times I ensnared a hero trying to escape and finished him off. The range of ensnare is almost 3 times the distance of the web ability |

No, if it was autocast and Web hit ground units, THEN it would be the same as web. It Ensnare was autocast, it would be way too overpowered. It has so much longer range AND hits ground units, so with an army of Mass Raiders w/ Autocast Ensnare and a few heroes, you could kill almost anything (within reason... we're not talking about Mass Sorceresses or anything here)... is Ensare dispellable? Because it if is, then it might balance it out a bit, though... |

Plasma you're right I know that they wouldn't be exactly the same, a bad choice of words, but what I mean is that Ensnare would be far better than web and unbalance it. As it is they both have advantages in different areas and I think that's much better, and no it's not that I play undead and am biased, infact I prefer orc. Sorry for not being clear originally. |
