Question: In-editor tile # restriction

Greetings.

This has probably been asked before and is available in some FAQ or whatnot, and I would check all that except I'm in something of a hurry right now.. sorry! :)

What I'm wondering is, from a technical standpoint, what is the reason you can't use more than 12 tiles in one map? Please be as specific/code-technical as you wish.

Thanks in advance!

You can get up to 16 tiles. To do this, use WE Unlimited by PitzerMike.

You can get up to 16 tiles what that, but I too am wondering why you can't default have as many tiles as you want. Why did blizzard do this?

Isn't there anyone who knows the reason for this limit?

Because I couldn't find a more appropriate forum and I figured it was part of the texturing, ie making custom tilesets. :)

Feel free to suggest a better forum, though.

Is there a map-making forum at all? If there is this thread would be better moved there.

Ok. I'll move this to the Map Development Forum.

as said before the best way to do this is with we unlimited. it also a patch that lets you have a crap load of tiles. don't know how many tho.
