I've just got 3 questions, but first the map that they pertain to is supposed to be based on Stronghold the PC game. It's gonna be a cross between that and the Sims. You are lord of a realm, and you have to build your forces up and defend off invaders, and build your kingdom. It's also like the sims because you the lord are your own charachter, and you essentially get to build your castle inside and out where you live. you can get married to a lady etc, that way it combines the best of both worlds of video games. I really like first person stuff too so i thought that it wasn't a bad idea.

well anyways here are my questions:
1. for the floors of my building, i wan't to make it possible to walk on them so that ll be tricky, and I also need to be able to build them over one another or delete the bottom layer some how. I figured I just use tile sets as floors, i just need some help putting them to gether so that they can be built while the game is running.

2. I need to make my Lord unit so i guess i really only need to make a good looking captain skin, but i kind of wanted a cape to for him to ware to make him look more regal.

3. I also wanted to know if anyone knew of a good graphical 3d visual object editor that i could get for free becuse im only in JR high and I cant get the mone to pay 100 bucks for a pice of software. :foot: thanks

You're asking for too much to start, Darkstayrr. Take a look around the forum, use the search function on the bottom of the forum screen, and spend some time learning from existing maps.

Then come up with some specific questions, if you're still having problems, and someone's bound to try to help you.

A free modelling program called GMAX, is availiable here: http://www.discreet.com/products/gmax/

It's a 3d Studio Max program which has been downgraded. It's directly specifically at the modding communtiy. Though if you have 3d Studio Max, that's better. As for importing/exporting MDXs, there are numerous scripts which can do this. There are several tutorails on this. Just click the tutorial tab.

I hope that answers your question
