I used a new gold a new gold stratedgy on the leggings and bracers. I kept shoulders and breastplate the same to add varation. I made the face sharper.

this is honostly not a flame.. but those are not that good, and you should probably take down that lvl 70 skinner thing from your title... there seems to be little from the original skins, and your skins. they lack detail, and look mostly like you minorly touch them up(and not in a good way...) aka. recolors. try taking out an armor, or putting cloth-like clothes on them.

id give you a 1/5 on your skins. edit them more and then repost.

note: try not to spam the forum w/ 3 threads.. just make 1 thread, name "My gallary" or somthing, and post all your skins in it.

For a better gold pattern, you have to use more variation in the gold color. Mixing from briht yellow, to white, to dark orange/brown will make it look better.

Also, Burn and dodge will *not* work, if you are hoping to acheive any metallic look, and is not recommended. Burn/Dodge is best used, and only used, on muscles, cloth, shadows, etc...

Metallic flavoring in a skin can't be done in shades of darkening... not any good ones anyways. Should anyone like to know how to make better metallic skins, I might create a tutorial, but only if people want it... ;)

Well bit to late for my skin if you don't like burn\dodge. I just burned\dodged it and redid cloak with symbol. I know it won't make a great metallic effect, but should it be ultra shine 8000, i don't think so it's battle armor it should have dents and imperfect marks. And now i've acheived an anti-playdo look...

Well thanks for positive commentary, not saying it's good, but telling the truth and how i can improve

better, but the Burn and Dodge possibly needs more practice, it kinda looks like chunky leather now

I dunno if it will help, but I tried to create a tutorial on metal skinning.... It's kinda advanced, and I'm almost positive it'ns not very user-friendly, but metal is too hard a subject to be anything else...

Here 'tis... :http://www.wc3campaigns.com/forums/s...threadid=33808

Why post skins that take longer to post than to make?
