Personally, i thought triggering myself. it seems to work differently in every game that i make maps for, but i keep teaching myself. i'm pretty good in figuring things out myself, and thats how i became familiar with triggering. how did you became familiar?

hmm, oops I voted wrong, I voted other because at a quick glance it says "thought" not "taught" witch is what I meant to vote, I have opened one map once tho, to see how varables worked, before I came here, and that was a long time ago.

I easily taught myself, simply using triggers to see what they did and learning on from that. Triggering is easy when you get the hang of it.

lol, thanks draco, it looked kinda funny, and as I posted, caused me to vote incorrectly. This is kindof unrealated but I have one question, are UMSWE and WEU's triggers and stuff mostly cross-compatible? (i.e. is is easily possible to use both simoltanouisly?)

I taught myself... But I had experience in editing SC, which is quite similiar, and Gamesfactory/Click&Play. Yeah, those programs actually helped me :p

You used click & play too!?

I made some pretty, um, adavanced games with that with my randomization tricks, hehe, boss battles were my specalty...( yes they are possible to make multipal hit bosses using other players scores, hehe, i made some pretty creative shield systems and stuff.

You know, about 20 guns on a single ship and the like, I once made this bomber, oh never mind, im babbling...

i taught myself.... but i wouldnt have had the interest in triggering if my older brother wasnt such a trigger-masta in SC :D ...so i taught myself starcraft triggers with a lil help from him, and wc3 triggers are pretty much the same, just organized a lil differently.

when i first started i taught myself mostly. after a while i began to get to move advanced things and i would download all the spell demo maps i could find. i would open them up and checkl it out and than close it and try to re-create the spells without actually using what they did. that was my technique. i had no prior experience with starcraft because i made maps for that but i never once opened the trigger editor. although i wish i had now. woulda had a lot more fun. at any rate all this learning took place one month ago. if any of you guys recall i was a noob last month and was posting questions every 5 mins. now i'm answering questions every 5 mins. i'm so proud. go me!

p.s. and leppy are you really in a cooler place than me? look at my location. you can't get cooler than that.
