Personally, I don't like it... I've already seen insane spam at my first glance at new posts, I'd be nice if spam wasn't included

Spam might be a problem but it might not... we'll have to wait and see.

To stop spam you could subtract point obviously, after a warning first. Either way im indiffernt about it.

Eventually stoned willl have it so you have to pay to post,
with the new rating system, people can disaprove of one's spam and shut them up. How so? No points...No posts.
That'll get rid of spammers so watch what you say. ;)

Which could well be a means of cheating - create bogus accounts and approve of your posts (since you can't approve your own, naturally). A prolific poster can net huge #'s of posts by searching for all posts they've made and fake-approving them. Hopefully there's a system in place to detect this...

I'm a little jealous of the custom titles; I'm not sure I'll save up the 500 points to buy me one, however -- couldn't little touches be cheaper/free? Also, I'm confused as to what a custom avatar would be -- don't you already have the ability to set that under the control panel?

so if someone makes a new account, they cant post? That doesnt make sense.

I would imagine that they would give new registrants a small number of points to start. If you're going to make posting cost points though, you'd really need to think out the system first.

Like, how much should posting a new thread cost? If it's only one point, than they have it back the moment someone replies to them. If you ask me, the cost of posting a new thread should be different for different forums. As some forums you will generally get more replies than in others.

Anyway, I think this system has a lot of potential and will probably be more fun than just increasing your post count.
