Thoughts on post count having been removed

Everyone's posts have been replaced by a point system, as you have probably noticed, but there was no benefits given to people with posts. Does anyone think that people should have gotten a head start on points from their posts count (ex convert posts -> points) or do you think it's fair the way it is (no reward given for previous posts)? Personally, I can see both pros and cons to not converting the posts so I was just wondering what others though about it.

i think converting posts to points could be abused, i mean you are able to change others titles, sure mods can do that[cant they? i think they can], but the people that just have lots of posts would give people they hate really dumb titles, so i say keep it the way it is, no converting

points suk mor than posts. its kinda ok for ppl to spam on off-topic, but because points dont matter in off-topic anymor, ur gonna have a @$^%@$% ton of fools spamming in THESE forums!!! i want to change my rank thing too!:nono:

posts shud of been transfered to points... or they cud of just left our posts, and just continued

They did... The only ppl that lost posts where some threads got deleted

If you want to see your posts so bad again, just switch your theme to Orc and Human, BOOM, see your post count.

you have a lot a lot of pointses on you. the only way the point system thing benefits me is the cool store and that most everyone is at a noob start (yay all in one boat of jolly noobness together again mwahahaha)

then there will be spam, spam, spam, spam, spam, a touch of spam, the dose of spam, and let me think....- oh yeah! spam!

Err..points will never be counted in Off-topic, and posts were never counted in Off-topic. You can still look at your posts in regular view by going to profile info.

To tell the truth I dont see why everyone cares, they are just points, and for the post count its stupid, just another way to make people feel better than others. Ah well i guess a glowing name wud be cool

I don't see at all why they would not have a post count above point count. Advanced people with tons of posts can have no points, whereas noob can have lots. So a post count should be there for an indicator.

It just makes sense to have "posts" then "points". It should be an additional thing rather then replacing posts.
