Need a team to express your skills in?

You've come to the right thread,
Well, first let me introduce myself...
I haven't posted around here much, do to lack of time... but now that school's out for a while, I've got a lot of free time on my hands. Anyways, You may have played a few of my maps on Battle.net. Here are some: Turilli TD, Turilli TD X, or Hero Warz. (Note: I did not put any real effort into these maps, yet they became some-what popular.)

Now that thats outta the way, here is what you would be interested in:

This is going to be a mod, campaign or just a group of maps, that has 4 completly new races. Now, before you start saying, "This has been said it would be done before, you don't know the effort it takes to complete such a task." Well, I understand that it takes a great deal of comittment and skill to do such things like this, but I am confident that with a few motivated team mates, we could make this work!

Now here is what I can do,
Right now, I can edit skins, I've had 3 years experience of sprite editing (which is editing video game frames if you aren't familiar with the term) so I have lots of knowledge in body proportion and what-not, I think my skins come out extremly nice. Now off the skinning subject, and on to icons, I do not know how to edit Icons just yet, Or create them, but I'm sure if one of my team mates took 30 minutes out of their day to give me some tutorials, then I could learn in a snap. I can also edit spells, and I'm decent with terraining, stories and original ideas are my bag too.

So basically what I'm looking for is:

1 - 3 Additional Skinners.
A model builder, If any are free.
1 - 4 Icon Artists
2 - 4 Unit artists, (People that give Ideas for units and upgrades, or new abilities)
1 - 2 Terrain Builders.

TD's..... I dunno man, there are quite a bit... At least one million and growing! Hero Warz... can you put it up for dl? Unless it's like Hero Arena, then no...

I may decide to put it up for download in the near future, yet as I stated, I put no effort into the maps, and no it isn't a hero arena. In my humble opinion those are the worst maps ever. Anyways, aside from that, are you interested at all?

I am quite good with spells and triggers, although I don't do upgrades a lot, there pretty easy.

Terraining and anything with artwork in general, i'm useless.

I also have a lot of spare time.

Reply here if you want my help, and here is a map I have made which has a few spells and a lot of triggers (mostly badely done, but work and I am learning with triggers fast).

I'd like to know a little more (such as teh intended races) before offering any help.

Well, for starters, this is based on outcast tribes, or groups of people, that you will be able to play as, as apose to the current 4 races. What I mean by tribes is like, well... let me give you an example.

The Forbidden (this is going to be one race.): A human elite mage, studied magic during his entire life, unfortunantly he did not want his magic to do good, yet only for power to reign supreme, he sold his soul to "the shadows" an unknown source of magi, that can only be reached by obtaining a ancient power that required expertise and decades of magi practice, the mage studied under "the shadows" and gained power almost equal to Medivh, all inosence was banished from him the second he fell into "the shadows" grasp and he formed a plot to enslave the human race, he recruited hundreds of followers, yet one and only one was a spy, sent by the Kirin-tor, for they were suspisious, the spy reported what he found out of the mage, thus the mage and all of his followers were forbidden to set foot in a human settlement ever again, hence the races name.

The other 3 races are still in pending and I'm ready to hear recruits ideas on what they should be.

A bit more interesting, but... storyline for the campaign? Will the Forbidden history be a campaign or just background?

Well, All 4 races, IF I get the crew to do this, I will DEFINENTLY do my part, All 4 races will have their campaigns, and, just to make you a bit more confident, I am expected to become a published writer within the years, so I am excelent at story. Anyways, yes The Forbidden's background will all be revealed in campaign.

How does "Warcraft III-The Shadow's Flood" sound?

Named for this reason, in the campaign The Forbidden grow to over power forces of the Orcs, Night Elves, Humans (Yes they turn on their own kind) Undead, and the other 3 pending races, The Forbidden serves the bidding of The Shadows and brings them to extraordinary power, the other 3 races will be easily woven into the story :)

Flood, whilst describing it well, doesn't suit...


The Shadow's Claws, Creep, Spread, Shroud, Tide, Flux, Rush, Grasp, Veil..

I'd go for Veil, Shroud or Tide.

An emense vocabulary you have their my friend, I responded to your PM, and Tide, caught my ear and gave me the feeling that it would be interesting to the people.
