After reading, seeing movies, of Lord Of The Rings, I was wondering if I should make a Helm's Deep map? Then I thought, it's pretty old and LOTR3 will be out soon. Should I just wait for LOTR3 and make that massive battle? Or do Helm's Deep, or both? Thanks a lot guys, I'm a bad chooser :ggani: |

Minas Tirith, I have no idea what it is, but Helm's Deep is way overdone by people who know nothing about LoTR. |

id say you should make a LOTR3 map because, there have been several helems deep maps made already. And since the 3rd movie is coming out soon, it would be a good idea to make the map, before anybody else does. So do it! Hurry! lol |

1 important thing: dont make helms deep!! way too many crappy versions has been made, and idea is old btw it dont HAVE to be minas tirith, it could be an crappy plot, ideas could also be where aragorn fights against the pirates, og where frodo + sam r going through mordor (last is only 2player :( ) |

I was working on a Siege of Gondor map ages ago back in RoC as one of my first projects, it had a really interesting concept that works very well in execution, basically every unit is a hero. What this means is certain units that survive battles become stronger and stronger (i also added a AoS like evolution feature when say for example a footman reaches level ten he is replaced with a level one " captain" then evolves into a " general" next or whatever). I highly reccomend you use this system, it makes the game a lot more fun! (note: most units have passive abilities or no that are auto selected as the level up so you can command them as an army without having to micro more than usual, unless you want to preserve certain higher level units [the evolved units usually posses better passives and/or aura abilities) I still have the map lounging around my folder somewhere if you want it, if you were using the hero unit concept you could save quite a lot of time by c n pasting the unit codes. Terrains pretty rough, but the city is about 50% unit editings about 50% also. Triggers spells etc = 0% |

You could also do a RPG map based in the world of LotR that doesnt focus on 1 segment of it... but thats sorta different than what you were planning, right? |

Thats something else I might do, there really no RPG's, or good ones out there. |
