This time i wonder how you make a unit shoot a missile via triggers. I mean that the unit does not have any ranged attack at all and no missile set in the object editor, only via triggers.
Anyone know how?

you could create a unit that DID have a missile attack and was invisible, then play the visible unit's attack animation while the invisible unit attacked

What do you mean? Use triggers to do when the unit picks up an item and makes it range or what? You could always have 2 sets of that unit and whatever you need just swap the unit, for range/melee

why do you want to do this? Is the triggering unit long-ranged? or melee?

If you want to do an arrow or something that you can guide, make the missile a unit so you can set it's speed, height, size, and stuff.

Also, a neat trick, if you want to have an arrow going through a unit's stomach attach the missile model to it's chest. :D

Hmm, so ther is no way to do it with triggers?
What i mean is that i want a unit to do his attack animation and then via triggers create a missile. But is that not possible?

yes, there is a way, but its a waste of time, just make the unit ranged and all in the unit editor...:bgrun:
