Hello there. Im beginning a new project based on WoW and making it into a Wc3 map. So far i've basicly done Lorderon and the island nearby and at the moment im concentrating mostly on the terraining until it's done. I felt that in yoda_24's version there was no sense of expoloration for me. It felt repetitive and not very much that good an Open RPG but my RPG will be very fun and very big and full of places to explore. But I need your help. I need: A good triggerer who knows how to create a leaderboard to function as the plays HP and Mana. A good terrainer. Cos a 256x256 map is hard to fill and I'll need someone to help me. Someone with good knowladge of online games like Everquest or other MMRPG's as I aim mine to be like one. Good Spell maker. Using triggers. Perhaps a skinner. Thanks for reading this if you wish to join just reply or comment. To email me regarding this contact me via email (it is spam protected) |

Go ahead, but to tell you the truth, another open rpg won't cut it. You will need to provide something MASSIVE to beat Legacies: Tides of the Serpent, as this is the closest one gets to WoW. Besides, u can't make a MMORPG, as you can only have up to (16) players at one time MAX, MMORPG (Massive Mulitiplayer Online RolePlaying Game) Ain't massive :) hehe But good luck with it :) |

I doubt you'd ever get it done. I never put trust in a project getting finished unless I see some quallity screenshots that are updated very often. |

You know... I hope you finish it bcoz in yoda's I get killed by a pack of furblogs that appears out of nowhere... there are no skins and models... and its so slow... no offence yoda :D |

.....Uggh. I'll say to you what I said to the fellow that thought his mediocre scenario could beat Tides of Blood hands down. You'll need to do something pretty huge to beat the Legacies: Tides of the Serpent RPG. That is some kind of game. To properly create a World of Warcraft scenario, you need 10 Epic Maps. One 256x256 map might be large enough to house the land of Quel'Thalas, but I would doubt even that. World of Warcraft for Warcraft III requires an attention to detail that not many have to be created properly. Thank you for wasting my time....but I have one more thing to say. If you have someone ELSE create the terrain and triggers, what work do you do? |

Wow, what a negative bunch. Yoda's WoW map was, well, a monster trawl. It more reminded me of EQ than anything else; you stroll out of town, go find a pack of respawning monsters, and hit them until either they die or you die. If you want to make an Open RPG, *please* put in something more to do than killing creeps in pre-set spawn locations. Open RPGs (as opposed to closed ones?) never seem to have a plot, which I guess is ok, but without some reason why you should bother to level up your flavorless hero, it's not any fun to do. "Yay! I can kill this permanently respawning creep camp much more efficiently now! I ownz0rz j00, Forest troll pack!" At least have some level specific challenges/quests/something that encourages you to improve. |

It's not very possible making WoW on Warcraft III, when it's not even out yet, and you might aswell just play WoW, but anyways GL, hope it works out as a good RPG |

MY MMORPG map set isn't even based on WoW, so I can do whatever the hell I want. That might well be a better attempt. The lands of Quel'Thalas are equal to about 10 256x256 maps. Use that as a guiding point. Good luck, but it's not really that viable. P.S. Remeber, hardly anyone will want to DL a 256x256 map from B.NET. |

I disagree. Blizzard's site now even has the quests they plan to put in WoW, and the Warcraft III editor certainally provides enough to allow a good WoW map to be made; if someone has time and experience enough to do it, that is. |

its nice you wanna do one, but its funny that im making one to, we COULD join forces but you dont seem to know exactly what your trying to aim to do, just make a MMORPG based of WoW. Im guessing you haven't orginized all the classes to race and given each class per race a unique spell? or thought up a way to carry more minor spells for spellcasters? or think up the characters/models/skins your going to use and wether or not your going to use male or female selectables, or a ton of other things and we haavent even gotten to terrain or triggers yet, the reason im saying this is to let you be aware of what yor getting your self into if you plan on making this great then you'll have to to make a commitment in order for me to join forces with you and your project in the map i currently only have half of WoW with no distinct terrain because ive been spending my time creating the heros, and learning better ways to do terrain more life like, i have the layout for the right half of WoW but no real terraining done on them I might scrape what terrain I have and redo it all, but in the characters department I have 98% of them done, but not in WC3 only in notepad with orginizing what im going to use and what im not going to use...if your willing commit to this like I have then PM me if not ill leave u where u are and wish u luck |
