Find yourself spending way to much time here? Like to get a word in on every thread? Iv created a nice little marque scroller that lists the latest posts on wc3c. The nicest part of this is that it requires no new programs, windowsXP has everything you need.

Instructions:
1) Right click on a blank area of your task bar.
2) Select Toolbars-> New toolbar
3) Paste this into the folder field: http://www.wc3campaigns.com/forums/ticker2.php and click ok

This will create a area on your task bar that says Wc3c Posts, its crappy, but windows has a really cool feature that allows us to DRAG this tool bar off the task bar and into its own window. Just click on wc3c posts and drag it off(you may need to have all windows minimized for this to work). Once you drag it off you can change its size and call also make it allways stay on-top by right clicking on it.

The list of new posts will automaticly update every 2 minutes.

Iv'e attached a screen shot:

EDIT: Unfortunately, when the windows there, i have to keep minimizing to see it, it can be annoying:bgrun:

Another way to go about it is you drag your start bar higher, that is make it two start bars thick, with one of them being this new toolbar.

Another thing you can do is drag the bar to the top of the screen, where it will auto stick. It will also create a new top border for windows, that is they wont get caught under it. Picture is worth a thousand words:

For some reason when i right click on an empty area of my toolbar it just shows me Standard buttons | Address Bar | Links | Lock the Toolbars | Customize. I dont know if im clicking the wrong place or what, but it seems that something's up. And i am using xp.

Edit: Nvm, i was trying to put it in the internet explorer, not the taskbar. My bad.

You should post this as news on the home page so more people will see it.

It wont work for me. I have gotton to where you add the http://www.wc3campaigns.com/forums/ticker2.php folder thing, but it always says 404 Error not found! or something. I know it works cause if i post "http://www.wc3campaigns.com/forums/ticker2.php " into my web adress bar it will work.

EDIT: Got it to work, but it says no page to display...
EDIT: yay it works.

A little quirk..it doesn't work right when the task bar is locked, but this is completely Windows-related. GJ Stoned!
