Recently I have been unable to open one of my maps. I was a little sad over this, considering I had spent quite a bit of time on it. However, recently, I have found the cause of this, but I do not know how to fix it. I need to be able to delete a few doodads from the map without opening it. Can this be done? There are a few doodads which cause problems on my map editor, such as Ashenvale Tree Wall (I don't know why). I placed them, and recently, the editor has been crashing when I open any map with them in it. So I pose two questions: 1. Does anyone know why and how to fix placing/loading Ashenvale Trees? 2. If not, can someone tell me how to delete them form my map? |

You could delete the doodad entrys from both the jass and the w3d. |

Seriously you need to reinstall warcraft III or something, because it is not normal that placing ashenvale trees crash maps, Or check the textures folder in your Warcraft III folder. |

I'm with Vex, either that or get another WE (I personally favor WE Unlimited, but another good choice is UMSWE, both can be found in the "Map Editing Tools" forum..) though installing them may not fix the problem, as they might use some of the same files the regular WE uses and if the problem is in one of those files... Also Do you have any local folders (like a folder called Units) in your War3 directory? Maybe one of those is the problem... |

Im guessing this might be from when you switched from ROC to TFT since maps seemed to get corrupted in a few ways if they used the ROC editor, I know mine did. Anyways try opening it up in the regular ROC editor and removing the trees. |
