I don't get why people keep saying that....

ALPHA = TEAM COLOR!

IF you need to remove team color, go to the modeling forum, there is a tut on how to do it...although, I haven't got it to work yet :P

Ok...just to get it straight. To remove team color, you don't use alpha channels. You edit the model. Here's a spellbreaker with no teamcolor.

Yes. I editted the model.

You can edit the model (If you know how to MDL edit this is the quicker way) but YES you can use alpha channels. Just go to the alpha channel in your skin and white out any black parts and voila.

@Reinhart

Dude, u can't alpha out places that have team color, why do you say that?! Take the bm, and try doing that on his banner, or any other skin that has team color in a spot you want removed.. Like the spellbreakers shield!

Don't tell people they can, when it's simply NOT possible.

@Hunger

You don't need the blp, u just take the normal blp, and give it the path that one needs (wich he didn't post) then edit him. When it loads, it has no team color channels.

Taking out shield and sword is easy, changing animations isn't....

Zachary listen, he didnt say to alpha OUT it(coloring it whith black)
He said alpha IN a exra skin layer on it (colouring it whithwhite in the alpha channel) which will HIDE the team color. I tried this myself and it works very good.
So read carefully before posting saying that someone is dumb.

There is no BLP to accompany that. If you want, find the Spell Breaker's BLP and alpha out his shield and weapon and anything else. Then import the model into your map and the skin.

Find the spot in my post where it says that he is dumb.

And NO, u can't hide team color. You can paint another color OVER it, yes, but you can't just go to the alpha channel, and remove the black. This will only result in the area becoming full team color. I don't get why you insist on saying this, as it's not possible.

Paint over Team color areas, and there are no team color, yes.

Alpha team color out, is not possible!

So, to use your words: So read carefully before posting
