ok here is your chance everyone.
CALLING ALL PEOPLE WHO HAVE A MAP UNDER DEVELOPEMENT!!!
please post details, screens shots, and anything else about a map you are working on here. i want this to be an official thread where you post your maps progress at. post ideas your have trigger spells, normal spells completion data all that good stuff. post it all. even if all you have to post is a link to another thread where all you map info is at. post it up here! when i get enough points after my hero glow i may sticky this if it gets popular than everyone can advertise thier up and coming stuff and get it to the public. my current maps are as follows

i already have a thread describing this, it has many many original ideas that are going to make melee a lot more fun. check out the thread for more details. oh i forgot to add the thread link. here it is

Chronicles of the Elements-
-RPG-
based off a book me and a friend are writing. will be an open RPG containing very very deep story l;ine but only supporting 4 players. each will have thier own element to work with and each will have thier counters. there will be a random factor that makes a hero when selected either good or evil and will join the appropriate team. i will have more info on this later since it isn't even started yet.

I hope to have a demo out sometime soon but at the rate im going with school work im not really sure. Here are some stats:

-Single player RPG
-6 Unique Heros that are chosen using dialog boxes, not moving a wisp.
-Interactive bosses that are not just 1 on 1 fights, the boses have spell thats are cast at random that can effect the whole battlefield around you. Bosses will respawn after a period of time and can be killed again for items but will be stronger with each kill.
-Item Crafting system (Secret, can't go into details)
-Tons of custom item
-Large item tables for each boss with items ranging common to very rare.
-Trigger enhanced spell (The demo might not have all of these implemented, it just depends when I get around to them)
-Custom Item tables for most creeps.
-Lots of custom item images.

Can't really think of much more at the moment because I don't want to give away to much. Heres a pic though:

A fast-paced castle ,err, sim where you defend your castle whilst attack the other teams, terrain is NOT final(I suck at it) Execpt for my beautiful tileing. You can view my "Rate My Map Plan" thread if you want more info/ have input, heres a few screenies. Also, that pic is *NOT* of the finalized spawn "smartness", so dont complain of those few guys sitting there. Id say im about 40% done (not including testing of course!)

While replying to this thread *does* earn Supra some mad points for a replied-to thread, I can't help but admire ingenuity. So...

The map I'm working on is an RPG based on Disney's 10 year old TV series, Gargoyles. The screenshot I've attached is one of the cinematics from 994 A.D.; the action takes place both in the past at Castle Wyvern, and 1000 years in the future in Manhattan. The action in the past is sort of scripted and linear RPG style; the action in the future is more like an Open RPG -- aided by the fact that your heroes can fly. Yup, that's right, the hero in an RPG map can fly anywhere they like, without annoying barrels and trees in the way of their path.

I'm currently working on the cityscape (which is a little... um.. creative, given that I only have Tudor style houses to work with) and future plot triggers, including the City of Stone, Quarrymen and The Mirror subplots.

A lot of the fun is trying to do good deeds without the city noticing you too much; civilians in the past may have believed in living Gargoyles, but the modern world does not leave much room for superstition; thus it's imperative to get scarce when media helicopters start circling the scene. Also, there's the problem of turning stone by day...

Gargoyles was such a great cartoon, its sad that they canceled it. :(
Glad to see someone in making something on that cartoon though, good luck to you. :D

Thanks, DJ - it's more a labor of love for me; I've been wanting to do this since first making maps for Starcraft, but the tools haven't been quite right for this until now. I'm aiming for a December release; will keep ya posted.

i glad to see all the replies. i am going to try to keep this near the top without spamming so i don't get in trouble. and actually biflspud, you nailed me. that is the exact reason i made this thread. trying to earn forum points while i was at workl. i believe i am in the top 10 now. went to work with 270 points. came home to 301.

but on a lighter note i love the ideas of all these maps. as i said before i will be sticking this if i can get enuff points. of course after my glow tho. would be great if a mod(cough cough, draco) would sticky it for me tho. would save me !1000 and plus a certain mod even replied here so it would be helping his map as well.

@hunter. i am especially looking forward to your map. looks very original and good. oh and you too das

Muwahha. More like the "Give me those points!" thread. Everyone loves posting screens and showing off, so this will rack up alot of views + posts = points for you. Ha ha, heres another point for you...

Draco: How did you get those African-Plain looking trees in your first screenshot? The skin is in the Glues, but wheres the model?

They we're extracted from the Orc Campaign Model by eXn.

I will sticky this for now, even though I don't care about publicity at all.

Also, yes that's why he made the thread, so don't bother posting any more about that. :D
