Positive Immolation

Greetings.

I was trying to use the Immolation ability for healing friendly units instead of damaging enemies.

I copy-and-pasted the targets to be the same as Tranquility, which is something like "Friend, Neutral, Ground, Air, Vulnerable, Invulnerable", if I remember correctly (unfortunately I can't check it at the moment).

However, in-game, the ability didn't seem to work on any targets. Any idea if there's a hidden aspect of Immolation that I don't know about? Or are the Tranquility targets somehow inappropriate?

Try it with JUST the targets field modified, so it should be hurting all your units - that way you'll find out whether it's the targets or something else, like it can't be changed to do negative damage or some such.

The only wayt his can be done is either with triggers or with SLK editing. Triggers would be easier, but I know how to SLK edit, since I did custom spells before the ability editor... You can put in negative values instead of positive. But triggers would be easier. Just pick every unit wiht a periodic event and add the health like that.

He already made it negative. The problem is that it isn't targeting friendly units.

Yes he has... read his first post :P

He wouldn't try and make it heal just by changing targets to friendly -- that would just give the spell friendly fire. I'm pretty sure Panto already knows about negative damage -- his point is that he's using negative damage but it's still not targeting friendly units.

Hm, well, I did make it negative right away, but that's irrelevant to the problem.

No units are affected by the spell. None. I'll try reverting everything but the targets field back and seeing what happens.

Thought so.

Maybe just try setting it to All and see what happens?
