well.. i know this is kinda twisted but... i have a good idea.. :D if u open a map with WinMpq u will se some files inside of the map with diferent extensions like .Do .Tr .etc well. those files are the componets of ur map. (triggers, units, regios, terrain SIZE, minimap size. ETC ETC.) well.. i if some 1 knows whats the name of the file of the terrain size and the Minimap size. because im thinking to expand my current map. so i will make a new bigger map and will transfer all those files to the new 1-EXCLUDING THE TERRAIN SIZE AND MINIMAP SIZE- that way i will have all my stuffs in a bigger map. i need to know the name of the file of the terrain and minimap size. (i did this with 1 of my maps but i only transferd the triggers and units because i made a shadow error or something. but this time i wanna change the terrain size. i know this is possible...) |

Why not just open the map in WE and change its size? |

he means like expanding the map entirely. Ex: He has a map with a cliff that is 3x3. He doubles the map size. Now the cliff is 6x6. Then he doubles the map vertically. Now the cliff is 6x12. Get the picture? |

I don't think Blizzard coded for this... It would be a bit too convenient if you could just tell the map to be larger or smaller and it would stretch the terrain for you... they'd have had to build in an interpolation filter to create the new terrain heights and tiles... |

dud im telling u. I DID IT. but remplacing triggers. i did it remplacing file by file. it took me like 20 mins cuz. i had to close map, remplace, open map and test map. and repeat those steps for all files... the map will be JUST LIKE IT IS BUT BIGGER (more playable area) with all the items, regions, triggers and units in the same places BUT more playabe area in the sides cuz u chage the map size. (when i was remplacing the triggers i remplace the map size too so im telling u. ITS POSSIBLE but i dont remember what file is it...= |

Wait, I think we're all thinking of two different things. Have you simply expanded the edges of your map by stretching out the playing area? That's trivial on WE -- it's under Map Settings. Simply add space to the sides of the map. Nothing actually moves, you just get more dirt added to the side you "pull." Something like this: _____ | x....| |xx....| |_x__| becomes ________ | x..........| |xx..........| | x..........| |_______| ? |

no. not stretching its adding new area... to put the stuffs more simples.... is like if u have a ball inside a box and then u transfer the ball to a bigger box. now u have more space to move the ball inside the box.... and i just did it :D now i got more area :D :D :D Edited: by the way. "day of the tentacle" was the best game i ever played of maniac mansion and sorry every 1 about my english. im from venezuela and i speak spanish :P |

In that case, just open up the original map with all your triggers and the original terrain in the World Editor. Click on Scenario - Map Size and Camera Bounds, and there you have it. With a GUI no less. |

why not "Export ALL data" , make a new map and import everything ? |
