"Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos & The Frozen Throne Patch Update
Wednesday, October 29, 2003

Now that the Diablo II 1.10 patch is available on Battle.net, the next Warcraft III update, patch 1.13, has gone into the final stages of testing. The patch will include many significant additions, including Acts II and III of the Orc Campaign, several new World Editor features, updates to many of the maps, and numerous balance adjustments. We expect it to be released in the next few weeks. Prior to the patch release, we will also be changing the lineup of maps currently available for ladder play.

In addition to the patch, we will also be releasing the art tools used for Warcraft III. These tools will allow advanced users to create and implement new art in the game, adding an unprecedented level of customization.

As always, we thank you for your patience and support "

Seems that moaning and bitching had some use :ggani:
Anyways, this means that there is something actually to look forward for, especially the continuement of the orc campaigns and of course the art tools. Lets all hope they are not only referring to tga blp converters and such, but also the plugins used with max to create the models :ggani:

Yeah though it seems they may make those of use who do GEOSet merging redundant :( but we can still say we (especially you) did this cool stuff without the toold :D though I'll probably still be using MDLs for some stuff just for the fun of tinkering :ggani:

Lol they wouldn't mean Photoshop and stuff... it would mean plugins and stuff that allows conversions... no way would they include $700 programs in that patch, it would take days to download (especially for the poor 52k'ers)

EDIT: Hmm, "art programs..." buff editors emote_confused :ggani: :ggani:

Praise Blizzard! Praise God! Praise that random guy over there! Peace on Earth and goodwill towards men! The waiting and patience and pushing and shoving have nearly paid off! Is there any way to send them a mass thank-you message? Though it will certainly be interesting to see what this does to stuff like UMSWE and kin, having 1.13 patch (in all its glory and replete with everything it's been hyped to be, we can hope) will be wonderful.

Now if Blizzy can just deliver the goods, all will be good in the WC realm. In the meantime, check out the Blizzard.com front image for the Diablo II 1.10 patch. LOL... And geez, no wonder they've had to hold back on WC3; I forgot about D2 1.10... Doubtless it's kept the testers and other final-release-work people too busy to see what the WC3 team's come up with. But clearly everyone else has been working their arses off for WC3 if we get two Orc parts and all the other stuff. Now let's hope the final testers and release-mongers can throw all their stuff behind it. :D

It looks like blizzard wants the new patch for wc3 to be almost as good as their recent D2 patch. Cant wait for model expoter.
