Your Opinion For A Map

I want to know how you would like this type of map I am also running out of ideas for it. If you have any ideas/opinions about it you are more than welcome to share your thoughts. The map goes as follows:

Object: Survive through all 10 levels.

Start: You pick one of three ships generes: Speed, Strength, or In The Middle.

Level Makeup: You beat the level by destroying the stationary alien "mothership" in each level (which is different each time with it's own abilities and with higher levels is increasingly tougher). Along with each mothership comes a set ammount of alien "fighters" of different types (the ammounts and types depend on the level). You dont have to attack the fighters, but you should do so, because the fighters do not reset when the level finishes. Another important part about the levels is the numerous asteroids floating around. If you touch an asteroid, you get damaged, so you have to evade them.

Waves: When a level starts, a few more asteroids come in. The asteroids come in different sizes (so if a tiny asteroid hits you you get little damage, unlike a giant meteor hitting you at 50,000 mph). The mother ship doesnt appear untill a while into the level. But the fighters start appearing almost immediatly. Not all of them appear at once. When the mothership comes in, it has a large force of fighters with it.

Alien Fighters: They will come in many shapes and sizes. All of them will have the "Shield Matrix" Spell. (Basicly a space-like version of mana shield). And all of them will have differet types of regular attacks that have no missle arc and are "artillery" type (so that you can actually evade them), and will have blast radius's. Strong fighters will have some other things you can find on your own ship, like "lightning discharge". All of the fighters will have some magnitude of "AOE upon death" spells.

Alien Motherships: These ships will have a jacked-up version of "Shield Matrix", and will have a quite large mana capacity. The motherships will have a VERY large aquirisation range, and will move INCREDIBLY slowly (exact speed of a turtle). The mothership will have a powerful "artillery" weapon in the fasion of the fighters, and will have a medium-long range attack. Each mothership will have it's own set of abilities, (like launch fighter 2 and Fire Ion Cannon), and some will share some abilities (such as having four motherships all have "homing missle"). When motherships blow up, I will have a long death time set, so when they die, I will trigger a few functions that make them have a set ammount of small explosions, before it has it's one big explosion. The Motherships will have a powerful and large "AOE upon death" spell (so if you are right next to one of these when it turns into a fireball, you will experience a lot of damage).

You and Your Ship: You can choose from the 3 ships. The medium type will be the benchmark for the two others. The speed type will have raised speed, but lowered HP. The strength type will have lowered speed, but raised HP. All three types will share the same abilities, like turbo, and "shield matrix", but each of them will have their own "ultimate" ability. When you blow up, there will be a moderate AOE upon death spell, and a long death delay. Then the camera will zoom in and rotate around the exploding ship in cinimetic mode untill it explodes, then it will turn the player into an "observer".

I am also thinking on having some ships drop powerups when destroyed or just found floating around.

The game will be for 1-8 players and is a "teamwork" game.

Please post your opinions and ideas for my setup.

It doesn't look interesting to me. Making this in space seems boring. I don't know why else, I just wouldn't play it. I would if I was tortured though.

this seems new and invigorating, i jus have a few uquestions...

will u have new models and such?
will u use a modified tileset? cause i dont think they have a space tileset or one remotely close
and when will u begin on this?

ive started on this already. Its based on the outland tilelst with everything deep water. Il also add a million multi-colored tiny little wisps in the background that are unselectable for stars. The problem with it is that 20 minuites after i run world editor, my microsoft mouse program ****s up and everything onscreen is clicked and the computer crashes.
