Yes, trigger spells kick ***, but some of them are lame... Is it really worth that much "nerve" to tinker with it untill perfection, or just stick to the regular spells ? Most spells in FF legacies kick ***, but some of them suck :) like the cloud's bravery spell...i personaly dislike it, but i bet it took you about 30 mins to do it :) P.S. i need some trigger spells tutition, i'm ready to "pay up" :) P.P.S posting spell maps in spell vault really pays off :) i earned 28 pts for that map :) and don't tell me i made 112 custom spells there ?:))) maybe it's the total spell count :) |

I made a trigger spell to my map that maybe not so popular, it is a suicide spell but it doesn't work othervise (if it isn't suicide) but it looks really cool and deals high damage. Edit: I forgot to tell u more specific, it is a troll hero that has it and when he uses this (storm bolt) ability with a troll as missile art. When he casts the spell I move him to a hidden place and kills him. The reason to why I made it to suicide is because of when the missile play its death animation it plays his death animation. |

most regular spells suck.... You should really see Das Jank's spells, especially my Thunderstorm spell I put in the vault recently, because they kick ***! P.S. see my sig for the link to The Vault |

(Voted Loved Trigger Spells) I believe they are really good, because without them you'd always be ending up basing each spell on one spell that has already been created by Blizzard. I believe that new ideas are really kool, and I love to effects. I think that triggering spells are important because like I mentioned before they'd all be the same repeated spell because you could only edit the data given off of the base spell =\ (My Opionion, yay ^_^) *Cough* P.S. How'd I get so many points?!?! |

It depends on how they are made, a lot of people make buggy triggers that can cause serious memory leaks(not thier fault though, it's blizzards mostly) but if done right it can make your map really awesome. @FF_Behemoth, you and Zoi were the 2 people that got me into serious trigger spells, I salute you :D . |

well, there ARE some kick *** trigger spells, but some are just average :) ff behemoth: all of u'r spells are good, but omnislash and meteor rain are a bit nicer than the braven attack :) btw, when u cast the meteor rain, u can move the dummy caster unit...try pausing it or something, cuz it can really help u get out of the crowd by "flying" over the trees etc... |

Some of them Are just thrilled like an area of effect spell with some special Geometrical shape, those spells just lag the game a lot. But there are others that deserve congratulations. The Spell vault has some nifty nice spells |

There are different kinds of trigger spells. You could have 2 versoins of "valcano". The first version could suck and basicly put a bunch of flamestrikes in random places near the casting hero. The second version could be complete with a hill and spout, with lava and other cool stuff that damage things potruding from it. It basicly depends. My thunderstorm spell would be boring if it only had some lightning bolts flying down, so I added rain and flood-like things. Then I also added a part where the middle is filled with floods, and the perimeter of the spell is made up of a bunch of lightning bolts (12 to be exact), and a few seconds later the lightning bolts close in, and a HUGE lightning shockwave appears in the middle of the spell, and does tons of damage. It depends on what the maker does to it. I chose LOVE THEM because some trigger spells really kick ***! [edit] Will I still get points for the 80 points and 1,100 views? |

It sometimes might take time but it's worth it, as most of the original spells suck as bad as my socks in friday morning. :ggani: Nah. just kidding. But seriously, most of the originals are lame though. |

I find that lots n' lots of trigger spells just aren't worth the effort and time. You get about 30% of them which simply kick *** and can't be done without triggers, but the majority could be done without...or substituting a spell without trigger enhancements. Many of the trigger spells i see could be manufactured without triggers to do almost the exact same thing :( |

yeah, but u couldn't do those nifty effects without those "lame" spells :Pppp |

well, some of them are extremely good....<i don't want to name any names, u know u'r selves :)> :))) alas ,u have your freedom of choice... but at least explain why, and which ones u don't like, and why :) |

i voted for love them because.. well i havent really ever used or made a trigger spell, but i can just imange right now how much cooler they are because its not like a 4 second effect, you could create lots of effects off of one spell. but i dont know anything about triggering so ill learn how to make fancy pantsy crap later :D |
