So, I was sitting around thinking: "Man... there are lots of cool guys on WC3Campaigns. It would be cool if we could all sit around and play WarCraft 3." Then it hit me. We're a MOD site. We make MODs. Why don't we make a MOD for ourselves. The way I see it, is it'd be a lot like an interactive on-line chat-room. You'd go on Battle.net, find the server hosting the WC3Campaign MOD, join it and you'd end up in game with a bunch of other people already in where you could then run around and kill stuff and talk to people. I heard from the FPS MOD that you can change WarCraft 3 so that you can join and exit games in progress. I also heard that there are programs that'll save the heroes you make, so you won't have to start back at level 1 every time you re-enter. I think this would be kind of neat. Everyone could make their own custom character (modeled, skinned, voiced, everything). They could join the game and leave and re-join whenever they wanted. They could then run around a huge map and kill things or talk about stuff. We could do all kinds of crazy stuff. Like put the skinners and modelers on different teams, and let them have a war. We could give the MODs super-abilities, like, the ability to spawn monster or create buildings. We could each have our own little kingdom, and maybe even our own little compy-controlled arch-nemesis. This is just up for discussion. I, personally, have no intention of putting anything in motion (unless there is a ton of people leaping to get this done). I just want to hear what you think. |

yea. i wanted to make an mmorpg: tons of ppl in one game. joining anytime they wanted. but fps wont release there code. but lucky for us, there making an fps! |

This would only make more work. Copy me and Challis, and whoever else does it.. just help out with other mods. Heck I'm down as a skinner for 5 mods, and still do requests. |
