How would you remove weapons and sheilds from units, like say removing the footmans sheild or the grunts axe. Would that be modeling or skinning. I dont know which so ill just post here. If it is modeling then just move it plz :bgrun: |

some thigns can b alpha'd out but other things such as the wardens ring weapon cannot b alpha'd out it has to be modelled out becuase it ahs a team colour beneathe it |

i just tryed to alpha out the grunts axe, but in the game it just appeared 100% white, not removed. whats wrong? |

You have to draw black over the axe on the ALPHA channel. Don't draw on the normal channels (RGB). |

ok i followed this tutorial to open and edit alpha channels: I'm goin to teach everyone how to edit Alpha Channels in Paint Shop Pro 7. It's super easy to edit alpha channels and 100% bug free. - - - 1. Open Paint Shop Pro 7. 2. Open your skin. 3. Go to the 'Masks' tab at the top and go to 'Load from Alpha Channel' . 4. Select the "Alpha Channel 1" . 5. Now go to 'Masks' again and click the 'Edit' button. 6. Now on the right side you will see a grey-scale color selector. Select 100% black and the paint the skin in the area that you want to disappear. 7. After you "Alphaed" all you want, go to the 'Masks' tab and 'Save to Alpha Channel'. 8. NOW SELECT ALPHA CHANNEL 1 to save over it. Don't have more than one alpha channel!!!11 9. Ok, now save the skin and quit. There ya go!!! Thats dracos tutorial. When i select 100% black, the damn paintbrush paints it 100% white. i have both buttons selected to be pure black, and it still shows up white. what the hell is the problem! im starting to get pissed off real fast. |
