i love hallows eve i went as a wizard :ggani: it all starts with the pegans who believed that halloween was the day when the spirit and real world were so close together that the spirits could travel between the real and spirit worlds. So the pegans dressed up as them, and left treats so they would leave them alone:ggani: Then we americanised it (i think that should be a real word) :ggani: Then thats how we got halloween! |

Think about it... everyone goes out and buys a lot of candy, then gives it away for free to children. That does not seem very American to me. One might argue that the candy companies are making a lot of money this way, but do you really believe the candy companies have the power to run a holiday this popular in the United States? |

Actually, Hallowe'en seems to be celebrated a lot more in Canada. With fireworks celebrations, the traditional trick or treating, and of course, the blowing up of mailboxes, we all love it. Only loner Canadians don't have fun on this day. I talked to Ganon and he hadn't even heard of fireworks on Hallowe'en. I had fun :). |
