Guest | HI Is there anyway I can make all units invulnerable? What I'm trying to do is make a cutscene where two talk but the rest of the units continue to fight without anyone being hurt. I tried using pick all players and do Units - make picked units invulnerable. But that doesn't work any suggestions? And sometimes none fight at all? please help |

Guest | Well in cinimatic mode theres a special option called freeze all units. I don't know the rest, if you don't get a reply then in the meantime just experiement. |

Guest | I don't understand what ur saying,sorry what I need is all units invulnerable, and I don't want to freeze any units, and I can't find that option in cinematic mode. Please elaborate. I have done enough expirementing. |

They're not attacking because they can't *target* invulnerable units. Go into the unit editor and make sure that "invulnerable units" is checked off in the "targets allowed" field. This will let units attack invulnerable units (no damage will be sustained; they still act invulnerable). Hope this helps. |

Guest | Thanx guys, I tried your way Ari, but when I add invulnerable to targets allowed they can't attack any vulnerable targets anymore only the invulnerable ones. Got any solution? |

Guest | Make and trigger that keeps restoring their health every 1 seconds. -OR- Set the damage of the units to 1 and the max the hit points of the units. This can be done in the unit editor. -OR- Just loop the attack animations for the units. -OR- When a unit dies, Replace the dead units with new ones. |

if the units being attacked are all NPC characters, you can give them alot of regeneration in the unit editor so they don't die, like 1000/second. Of course then they'll be permanently invincible so if you wanna be able to kill em afterwards you'll have to use a unit kill action or replace them by custom units who are the same except with normal regen :-/ |

Ogz is correct. If both invulnerable and vulnerable are checked, a unit can attack either. I just confirmed by building a map with two units, one of which could attack vulnerable and invulnerable units, the other of which was given the neutral invulnerability ability. The first unit happily attacked the invulnerable to no effect for as long as he could. Let us know if there are any probs. |
