I know how you feel, I'm trying to get into modding for Jedi Knight 2, Jedi Outcast ... can anyone help me with that one? Anyway, in your case... I don't think there is any tutorial on everything, don't be afraid to ask questions here, just experiment a bit, post everything you don't know, and we'll answer it for two reasons.. 1. Most people here are intellegent and polite 2. When we post we get points :ggani: |

Hmm, well I played this awesome custom the other day. In it you captured Centaur units and could make them build Centaur buildings and make more centaur units. There was also the same thing with Ogres and Dragons. My question is.... How do I do that??? |

Ok, the ownership change can be done a few ways, but here are the most common... 1. Someone has used a "Trigger" to change the ownership of the centaur to you. The trigger editor is in the world editor, next to the terrain editor button which looks like a mountain at the top of screen. If you want to know how to make this trigger you'll have to be a bit more specific about what happened, and how exactly you got the centaur. 2. If you have the frozen throne expansion, there is an ability called Charm, which will transfer control of units to you... Next... You can allow the centaurs to build structures by going into the object editor which is next to the trigger editor. Once you're in, you'll need to find the centaur unit in the big list. Once you select the centaur, a bit list of functions and stuff will come on the right side of your screen. Near the bottom, there is a function that says Structures Built. This will allow you to change what the centaur builds. It will show up on the centaur as the build ability, and inside that ability will be the building or buildings you put in on that certain function. To change what the building builds, go into the object editor, look for the building, and near the bottom it should say Units Trained. It's the same interface as the Structures built menu. Just choose which units you want.. and they'll be there in game. |
