It struck me when I was doing my English Essay and browsing the net on my computer ( Getting bored lets my creativity out of the cage ). I am a real fan of the Zelda Saga ( I got every Zelda since ALTTP ). It would be just like a normal Hero Arena, except with the Zelda Characters, Custom Creeps, and Custom Spells ( Made By Using the Spell Editor or Triggers ). I know a place where I can get the Zelda Music, but I started this not so long ago and I still don't need the Music and Stuff. What happens is, I can't bring myself to think about many heroes ( I got Link and Ganon but I got a headache trying to think of others ). I would very much appreciate if you all could give me some feedback on possible heroes and their spells. So far, for Link and Ganon I got these: -Link 1. Blade Spin: A sort of AoE Skill which affects all enemies in a range near Link ( I will maybe use Thunder Clap or War Stomp as the base spell unless i find something better ). 2. Ocarina of Time: A triggered spell ( I am not sure how I will do it yet, but I am thinking it over ). Basically, a random decision will be made over which music to play, ever music having its different effects ( the Song of Healing could heal all units in a area for example ). 3. Undecided ( Any Ideas Welcome ). 4. ???: I thought about many ultimates for Link. It could be a metamorphosis spell ( Fierce Deity's Mask in MM ), which would give Link for some seconds to Neutral Hostile ( His Changed Form has a Gigantic Damage, but would attack ally and foe ). It would last some time. It could also be something like Light Arrows...Straight to the Point, Im not Sure. Any ideas welcome. -Ganon 1. ???: I'm not sure about the name, but for those who have played Ocarina of Time, it would be one of those blasts of energy he launches on the final battle ( Based on Thunder Clap? Shockwave? ). 2. ???: Again, I am not sure about the name. Basically, a random choice would be made and one of the bosses of the game ( Volvagia, Phantom Ganon, Bongo Bongo ( Maybe even Alter Ganon? Twinrova? )) would be summoned. Being really powerful, they would be automatically removed soon after ( 10 seconds? ). 3. ???: This Spell would make Ganon float in the air ( Like in OOT ). He would become unable to use any of his spells while floating, and he would only be able to attack by using these big, slow missiles ( Very Easily Dodged ). While floating, he would receive a 70% Evasion Bonus and X0.5 recovery ( Dunno how these bonuses would evolve when leveld ). 4. ???: Like Link, Ganon could be able to morph ( to that big, piglike monster which you fight on OOC and in LTTP ). I don't think I would make it lose control, make it slower maybe. Again, Any ideas welcome for his ultimate. Again, I thank u for giving any feedback or ideas. |

Super Smash Brothers Melee could be a good source of inspiration for you; they already did Link, Ganondorf, and Zelda/Shiek. Give that a try out first. As for other heroes, um, you're looking at pretty much everybody. King Harkonian never does anything, Impa only showed up in the backstory for The Legend of Zelda and Ocarina of Time, that stupid owl's only in Ocarina of Time, the Wind Fish's only in his title game, Skull Mask Kid's only in Majora's Mask. So you've got a few other named characters, but complete freedom in what they do, since there's really no canon about them. Please do include Navi, and give her a "Hey! Hey! Listen! Hey!" ability, sorta like Taunt. |

wow this sounds pretty interesting. buit it will only be good if you actually skin all the units to look like who they are. if not this map will be kinda dumb. |

hehehe i edited LOTR arena into a zelda arena it worked ok, but it froze so i guess its dead your idea sounds really cool eviltormentor so good luck with making the map |

Thx for replying. As to new heroes, I did think about the Skull Kid And Impa. I figured Impa is not a very good example of a hero. About the Skull Kid...He isnt really evil is he? its actually the Majoras Mask. But then, apart from those 3 transformations it has, what other spells could the mask have? About the skinning...well...I dont have any skills in skinning. So unless I actually became a Skinning Expert in a week or found a skinner whos actually interested in this, I guess Ill just stick to the normal skins ( It would look slightly dumb but then, what other options I have?) I did think about other heroes and i could use Biflspud's Navi Idea. -Zelda 1. Din's Fire: A Sortof shockwave spell which burns everything in its path. 2. Farore's Wind: A medium-Distance teleport. 3.Nayru's Love: A sortof Locust Swarm spell with wisps. It deals damage to enemies, makes Zelda Invulnerable but DOES NOT recover her HP. 4.???? : For her ultimate i dunno. Morph Into Sheik? Any Ideas Welcome. -Navi 1. Annoyance (??): Like a Taunt ( Thx Biflspud ). 2.I Dunno 3.I Dunno 4.Faerie Swarm (????): Navi Calls her Faerie Companions to help her (?????). Like a Stampede Spell. -Veran 1. Possesion: A Charm Like Sort of spell. The power to possess stronger and stronger units comes as this spell is leveled. ( I think i will limit this to only ONE unit at a time so that Veran cannot construct an army of creeps.) 2. I dunno. 3. I dunno. 4. ????: Either she splits into those three forms she can turn into, either she is randomly replaced for one of those three forms ( A Bee, A Spider and the third one i dont remember) -Onox 1.I dunno 2. I dunno. 3. I dunno 4.????: Onox turns into that dragon thing. I would really appreciate if someone could think of something else cuz im starting to think that the evil side is getting too many characters that can do a metamorphosis. Thats about all i can think of. Just so everyone knows, I am not really focused on the characters of a SINGLE game. Ill consider characters from ALL the zelda games ( as long as they are considerable. JABU JABU as a hero?! ) Ill se if i can post a picture of the arena soon. Thx again for the feedback. Oh you wouldn't believe how much I love the Zelda Series! I would play this game daily if you got it to work. For links spells you should make a bomb spell, and a bow spell. The bomb could be just like those goblin mines except timed to go off after like 5 seconds. The bow spell could evolve from regular to fire to water to light. Light would do extra damage to Ganon. I don't really think that link should have an ultimate, but if you wanted something you could try making a hookshot, something that pulls an enemy twords you. For Ganon you could make the thing where he punches the floor in OOT; just like thunderclap. Zelda would be great because she would have all the magics and then her ultimate could be to turn into Shiek who could just beat the crap out of people. You should also make a zora, goron, and a duku kid. For more heros you should make the bosses and sub-bosses like those big skeletons. You have plenty of units you could make. You could have a goal to get the triforce! |

Well if you are afraid (lol) of having too many metammorphosis chars. then just think of something else that they could do instead of change into some monster or whatever (verans ultimate might be something like take control of 5 monsters around her or somethin) btw for navis fairy swarm you might want to base it off of locust swarm instead cuz it seems a little easier to base off of that than stampede |

And instead of metamorphosing, units could break apart. I forget the ice/fire witch in Ocarina of Time, but the one could split into her two parts fairly simply, a little like Storm, Earth and Fire. Navi: Give her a tiny attack (like, 1 damage), considering she's a tiny fairy. However, she should also be incredibly hard to hit - maybe one of her skills could be a jacked up Evasion (50/70/90%) to make her nearly physically immune. That way, her taunt (can you get a sound effect of her saying "Hey! Look! Listen!" instead of the Mountain Giant grunt) would avoid killing her. She'd need an attack ability (a locust swarm fairy brigade's a good idea), however - something like a cheap shockwave/carrion swarm. I wouldn't worry too much about skinning; so long as the characters look close enough, you should be alright. You might want to ask somebody to make a Link hat for him, however. |

Here are the heroes which I have already created. -=Defenders of Hyrule=- LINK ZELDA NAVI IMPA -=Evil Forces=- GANONDORF ONOX VERAN TWINROVA SKULL KID ( Possessed by Majora's Mask ) The spells are still being developed, and I will soon post a DEFINITIVE hero list, with their spells, primary attributes, starting agi, str, int. If you have any ideas for the 5th hero of Defenders of Hyrule, please do state your opinions. |

Actually Kotake and Koume are two people which fuse... though I suppose you could use twinrova instead and then use the ultimate to split them... For 5th defender, why not put that damn owl? He's far wiser then he looks... |

Since im a huge zelda fan, i know almost anything about the series. For a 5th hero you could make a young link. Just like SSBM he would be faster but weaker and easier to kill. His skills would be skill 1:Boomerang: link throws his boomerang at an enemy and stuns it for a short period of time, low damage, high range, and low mana/cooldown time skill 2:Hyrule shield: link uses the hyrule shield that is too big for him. He gets very high defense but loses speed skill 3:Bombs: link throws bombs at enemies dealing decent AOE damage. ultimate:unkown name: Link goes into a rage and gets increased run/walk speed, attack speed, and defense For an ultimate for Adult link you could have ultimate:Hero of Time:Link uses his power to become the hero of time getting increased speed, damage, defense, and hit points |

Ah, thanks, Eriond; forgot Twinrova's name. And you're right, of course; I just thought it might be fun to bust her up into a fire and ice specialist. Young Link vs Adult Link: Eh, I'd pick one and settle on it. The two Links never fought side by side. Kaebora Graebora (sp?) the owl's already useable; you even have a model for an owl. Saria would be an odd choice, but you could make her somewhat bard-like, including a Sleep-like Pacify ability. Oh! Jeez! Tingle! Of course! You need everybody's favorite fruity map maker, Tingle. If nothing else, just to shoot his *** out of the air. |

Hmm... In the trigger repository there is one thing made my mad[lion] called "My ability map" or something, where there is a cool ability that makes the person charge. I think it would be cool if you gave Link that ability. (Like the pegasus boots). Also, I think it would be cool if you gave him a spell based off of spell book- you can include firestorm (din's fire), divine shield (Nayru's love) and something based off one of the teleportion item abilities that makes the caster instantly teleport to an allied unit (farore's wind). Oh- also, I think you should try to give him a bow ability, based off of breath of fire so it will go through enemies. This would be a good item, at least. Too bad there wouldn't be a good way to give him his spinning blade attack unless he was based off of a blademaster... maybe you could get Jackoo to model you a nice link with a spin animation. |

Thanks for all the Feedback. For those who are constantly giving ideas for Twinrova, I thought about two things: -Either Twinrova will start off as the fusion, having Fire/Ice abilities. On this state, I am not very sure as if she will have a divide ability. She will be, on this case, as strong as much other heroes. -Either Twinrova shall be a result of a fusion between two Heroes, Koume and Kotake. Koume and Kotake would be two heroes with the strength of one. Thus, If Both have together 12 str, 12 agi and 20 int, each sister will have 6 str, 6 agi and 10 int. When they reach a required level, you can choose to continue as Koume & Kotake, or you can fuse them to get Twinrova. Twinrova will be slightly stronger than normal heroes. She will NOT be able to EVER split back into Koume & Kotake. She will maniate Ice/Fire Spells. P.S. Even though this is a Zelda Hero Arena ( Thus Giving it the right to have ALL the Zelda Characters ), I do NOT plan on making both Child and Adult Link. |
