I've just spent god knows how long uv maping my model, and decided to export it just for a test, and I get this:

-- Unable to convert: Undefined to type: Integer

WHAT?????????????? NO DON'T DO THIS TO ME!!! I SPENT A DAY UNWRAPING THIS! WORK!!

If you know what I need to do to export, I'll be so happy I'll give you some points.
(Oh yeah- using gmax and exporting with Dex)

did you follow all the steps in the dex tuto ? did you export editable meshes and not polys did you add nodes did you set fps to 960 did you colapse all modifiers, reset transform and scale, there are 1000 of stuff that seem obvious for me and for other so i canot say them all so if you still have your problem after what i said ... give model... (my mail)

Is the dex tut on the site? I didn't see it when i looked, and didn't get one with dex...
Lets see... they are all editable meshes, uh... Nodes? crap, i'm such a n00b, didn't colapse modifyers... reset transform and scale? um.... ok I'll see if anything you said works. And maybe find another tutorial on gmax because theres a lot of stuff I don't know (and the stupid tuts that came with it don't work)
EDIT: Augh stupid stupid! I didn't name the stupid test animation! All I needed to do was put "stand-1" in the animation name. AUGH!!
Anyway, thanks for the help.

nodes are something you must do before exporting with any exporter (once for a model even if you chang and export it after) :

type F11 (max script window) and thype :

notes = NoteTrack "Sequences" [ENTER]
>> shall return "Notetrack:Sequences"

addNoteTrack trackViewNodes notes [ENTER]
>> shall return "True"

Quote:
reset transform and scale
i dont think it can generate errors but its explained in the dex tuto that is ... here

and dont forget to take the 0.185m version of DEX if you dont have it
