How do you make the attachment .mdx?
Just scale down the rest of the model? and then?

i didnt understand well what you wanted... do you want to know how to isolate some part of a model and then attach it to another unit...?

if that's your question then delete the vertices you dont need, export your model as it is explained in DEX tutorial with puting the attachement point to the origin and reset the origins position
then export it xhoose the right textures' path and attach it with mdl edditing or with trigger (special effect - create on unit)

what ? deleting vertices ... yes
changing origin point (even if this isnt the same way am sure you can
all the other stuff are mdl editing and trigfgering so yes why wouldnt it work ...

ps : i never tried =)
