http://www.battle.net/war3/files/index.shtml#arttools Blizzard has offically released art tools. But dont ask how to use them. Blizzard does not directly support them. Looking through the tools, there is a model exporter, and several model examples. A grunt and a peon model and portrait along with some trees and other textures and other things. All with a tutorial to help you along I suppose. The tools are all for 3ds Max. |

Here's the part where we all pretend to have (legal) 3ds Max. The Guys at discreet must be rolling in there graves, you know to soften them up for when kill themselves because there company went bankrupt because every wc3 fan led there software from kazaa. |

Discreet sells 3ds Max to movie studios, game developers, and other very very rich companies. That doesn't make warezing it legal, and it doesn't make it right, but don't feel like you're swiping food from children's mouths. Again... This falls into an ethical gray area, and it is most certainly illegal. So you shouldn't do it. But they won't go bankrupt because they lost sales they never had. |

For the record, it was a joke. I'm well aware that they make there money in selling there software to major companies. |

I know how most modder get there tools (and hell, I'm one of them), but I think we shouldn't talk too much about it here in the forum. |
