Anybody of you know where they are? And if they're viewable with the Warcraft 3 Viewer? |

Well, this is the problem I find. They're very big files, cos they contain the models of the units in the screen and the entire background as well, so it's one massive .mdx. I've tried opening them in wc3viewer, and it just crashed, but that might be because my machine is slow, but it don't think it is :bgrun: |

UI\Glues\Loading\Backgrounds\Campaigns\AshenvaleExpansionBackground.mdx and similar. But really, if you can't find them on your own get a MPQ program or Wc3 Viewer and start poking around inside the Blizzard files. It's a great way to learn how they've done stuff and, consequently, how to do stuff like that yourself. Hacking filesystems are always fun.. ^^ Anyways, I remember once setting the path for different campaign screens as the model for peasants and checking it out in the mapeditor. It was pretty cool, they're really huge models, taking up more than what can fit in a screen I think, but they might be useful for some kind of cinematic or whatever. However, editing them and including stuff from them in maps would be, well, memory intense, most likely ^^ |
